The Day the Earth Stood Still - PG-13

I think most people are rating this movie in comparison to the original. If you look at it on it's own right though, its not as terrible as a lot have been saying. Keanu Reeves acting surprisingly worked well with the movie. The plot, while quite thin, was interesting. Although it did seem come off a bit preachy with the "We Need To Change" theme. Overall it was an alright flick to watch if you're bored.

The trailers had me when I hear Angelina Jolie say "I want MY son back" this was easily her best performance, ever. The fact that this movie is based on true events makes it even more depressing.
