have a potato...? haha this movie sparks of black humor and suspence. Whale did a super job: i waited, waited for the murders but...damned he screwed me up!! Scary face of Boris and madness of dark house's people it promised me an hour of terror. I've really enjoyed the unexpected plot. A classic.

Yeah, this a nice movie, full of 'orient' mood and adventure but i's not soo 'SADISTIC' as reported by many critics.
I love it due to the exciting acting of THE UNCANNED ZAR BORIS!!

Yeah, Corman 5 stars movie!!!...Why? It is his best attempt to mix irony, fun and terror. V.Price isn't so happy for Leonore's arrival, he put hate and irony in his words...delicious!!The Contest between a Fucker Sommelier (Vincent is a God!!) and the Cheated,Drunk 'Montresor' (P.Lorre is one of my faves, a great actor)! And the face of Vincent in the Case of Mr. Valdemar? This is a true mix of unbelievable fun and terror! Haha, that sweet swiss chocolate draining everywhere...great!!

This is another great Vincent's performance !
The original tale of Mr. Poe it's legendry and it thrills me everytime i read it. I' like to enjoy also a b&w photo-fanzine and the art of Tom Sutton from those incredible Creepy/Eerie comics.
Movie is soo great.
Corman and Matheson they well put inside the movie the 'Hop Frog' tale, and i like a lot the scene of that idiot (Magee) who's burned alive. The mix of horror and adventure it's perfect. Faces of Vincent have a superior degree of evilness. Unforgettable ending.

Great Vincent hairing a 70s wig. Hahaha! VP liked such kind of movie, for sure. Here it's the revenge of the Literature and Art vs the new wave of pseudo-critics.
A great WS's actor became mad since he had not the prize. Let's kill 'em all, those critics. They are a blatant bunch of corrupted minds. A theatre of funny murderings.

Released in Italy as 'L'esperimento del Dr. Zagros' it's one of my dreams. I want to see it in italian language but it's impossible to find a tape elsewhere. N.Hawthorne wrote some great fantastic stories and i'm sure Vincent's perfomance it's a boss. OK, i will wait some more time, otherwise i'll order it in Usa...Roderick Usher (secretary of V.P. fan club) he promised me a 'pit and pendulum' torture if i can't provide a copy of this movie!!!

welcome to monster club ! Pretty Things and other new wave/punksters they performed weird musics. The 3 segments are decent (like that one with D.Pleasence) and yes, a Vampire has to deliver an ironic 'j'accuse' to the human race.
ahhh poor good old monsters...

Doubtless a wrong movie. It reminds too much of the 30s plot but Hammer hadn't to copy those plots. It was a monkey business. ok it happens...

I watched years ago and taped on vhs. Funny movie, a psychedelic horror. Hey, there is Forrest J.Ackermann as a victim of the Monster. Dracula dismembers piece by piece the Monster (funny scene). Groton is a zombie-a-like and he' a 'molester' of lovers (it's bad, man! haha!) J.C.Nash is on wheelchair and meet the guillotine, Russ Tamblyn is pulverized from the deadly ray of Dracula's ring (damn..i like Russ). Have to watch it once more!

action speaks louder. Great Bates, good actor and good looking guy. A dandy...it looks like Ray Davies of the Kinks.

It's a 16:9 dvd and i have a small TV...good b&w. have lotsa fun. It's a great version of the story of Dr. Knox, a well respected Doctor and Professor of anathomy who needs (fresh, if it's possible) corpses for his studies. A couple of 'Genlemens' Burke and Hare (great Donald P.) they start a good cooperation with him...and they provide many bodies for the doc.
When psycotic villains will murder Christopher and Mary (a sad love story, effectly) and a kid, they are discovered from police and punished. Burke is hanged (haha great irony before hangin') . Smarter Hare escapes from hangin' but he will have a right punishment from local underdogs.
Knox hasn't condemned by the Court for the murders but he understands he closed an eye (...left eye) about crimes of burke and hare just to satisfy his proud, his ego.
Knox got the lesson of humilty.
It is a dr. Frankenstein-a-like movie and that's good, of course.

poor quality dvd. Bad colours and the soud goes up and down. It's really hard to see 'night scenes' and sometimes to understand whole lines from the actors,! I liked movie. A '800que horror it's good, some voodoo or magic rites are on the air, and there is a caped killer (a lame one) and a mad doc around!
Beauty Mary Anne arrives in Africa to marry Michael. Mom of Michael she tries to beware her, to send her back home, there is an accursed story of crazies in that Family. A good Doc warned Mary Anne of the danger of that House too, but Mary Anne wants to marry handsome blonde Michael.
Good scary moments in plantation and nightmares for Mary Anne ! Some people is ferociously killed. The grande finale: an organ it plays all alone and the madness it arrives, a totally madness.

Le Horlà de G. De Maupassaint ...i have huge collection of horror books (no modern horror,pls) and the movie it's great. Honest, Perfect Judge Cordier (V.Price) has been possessed by le Horlà when he visited a condemned to death. Cordier kills the man to protect himself. Le Horlà is a spirit but it's his dark side, effectly. Cordier has the hobby to be sculptor, and he pick up a nice model and then became lovers. But the Horlà asks he killed her (nice and cold Vincent!) . Cordier realizes that he must destroy himself so to stop the evilness...ending it's a Corman-a-like fire.

Maniac plastic surgeon Rossiter (A.Driffing is a great villain in evil roles) steals the ownership of a crap circus. How?...not to move a finger to save previous owner who's taking a warm hugh from a big bear...it's a good way, hehe!
Schuler (new name of Rossiter) has some good ideas how to increase his activities: he 'repairs' some disfigured whores who then they become great artists for his circus. Schuler wants sex too and when those babes try to leave the circus, he has no mercy for them! His assistants provides to kill all victims during the shows (i.e. good suspence awaiting a murder by knife). Deaths by accident, of course...
I've got some fun when an angry Gorilla seeks for revenge vs Schuler...and Schuler kill the Gorilla haha!
Usual unhappy end for the villain...damn...

Palance is outta mind! A nice movie for outta mind folks.''

i carnivori venuti dalla savana. Weird movie!!!! I remember we've been warned about vomiting on theater. Effectly the squirms are disgusting...ahah me and my fellows we laughed a lot about (squirm=verme in italian) Verm..ont, Verm..outh etc

grrr whatta boring movie. First class production. Too much for me.

i downgraded movie because i do not like boys in horror movies! I can't resist to watch boys in danger and most of all when it's their Dad who's a werewolf!!! More...poor hippies...ok a lot of them they were wussies, just 'dad's sons' looking for drugs and free sex. But, peace and love are not empty words. Good irony about fake idols, anyway.

I started 'the horror movies initiation' to my 9yr old nephew. I thought a spoof like this one it had to be a good first lesson. I knew he watched and enjoyed Men in Black 1 ... I thought to myself: it's time the boy meet a funny Frankenstein monster!! Argh, i was wrong! Right before the second half of the movie, my 'terrorized' nephew he escaped from the room and he screamed to me: 'Ugly Evil Uncle' ! Damn, the world is upside down !

It' the sequel of Count yorga, vampire.
The mood is good, scary scenes are effectives. The attack of female vampires (rised from a cemetery as they are zombies) for kidnapping 'the new wife' of Yorga it's good and the final battle between vampires and 'the good ones' has some scary moments (and fun too when there are wussy policemen around...). I enjoyed several thrilling sequences and those famous inn-joke when Yorga he's watching on tv 'vampire lovers' and he asks for silence since he's enjoying the movie!! Ha, setting is modern times, no more gothic castles or horses...Yorga has a beauty car!

A great demented movie. At last i purchased a dvd here in Italy with italian subtitles. That's great to understand those outta mind lines, it worth one star moreI Liked the 'Cuba revolucion' comics...and the monster, for sure !
