This was a great movie - very close to being a documentary of the last few days of the Third Reich - the last days in the bunker with Hitler (some how some of the ordinariness of Hitler was chilling) but also the last days for the ordinary people outside, being killed as Berlin is attacked. Watch out for the expression on the Russian General Chuikov's face when Goebbels offers a "conditional surrender" (at this point, there is nothing to stop the Russian army from strolling into Berlin) |
