This movie didnt wait for the viewers to settle down before launching into the well hyped action. If you havent seen Casino Royale, then you have absolutely no reason to watch this movie as the story line continues directly on from it. I have no critiques to make about this movie except that maybe its about time they stopped.

The story line was disapointingly modest. Infact, i thought it was one of the weaker Bond films. The action was too physical, where did all the cool techie gadget use run off to? The characters, hmmmm, this leaves much space for contemplation because we all know 'Bond, James Bond' but Olga's caricature was very vague. It all bunches up to a very over the top climax at the END of the movie, leaving me thinking..huh?

I guess overall, the movie was alright. the usual disobedience, unnecesary deaths, romances that link to nothing at all and ofcourse, cheesy scripts.
Maybe i had too much gummy bears..or the lack of caffeine coursing through my systems but this movie did not appeal to me. Let me know what you think after you have seen it.

"I think you're so blinded by inconsolable rage that you don't care who you hurt. When you can't tell your friends from your enemies, it's time to go."

    THE MOVIE OUTLINE

"Quantum of Solace' continues the high octane adventures of James Bond from 'Casino Royale'. Picking up literally hours after the previous film left off, after being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Having captured Mr. White, and in pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and 'M' interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper to steal Bond's casino winnings is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined. MY APPRAISAL

To begin with, I don't watch too many Bond franchises so don't expect me to compare QOS with the previous Bonds. I've heard loads of comments about how QOS sucks and let me put it this way: I'm no movie critic. I'm just a normal movie goer. According to someone who've only seen Casino Royale and Die Another Day, QOS is a pretty much an entertaining piece of cinema and also a nice time killer. And I disagree with all the thoughts that Alicia Keys and Jack White's Another Way To Die wasn't a suitable theme song, because it certainly is the coolest James Bond soundtrack, equally hot as Chris Cornell's You Know My Name.

Quantum of Solace may not be the ideal Bond movie compared to its former. I also heard that in QOS, Bond lost his originality and even worse, he becomes the clone of Jason Bourne. And I agree on this part. The story seems messed up and dry. QOS also didn't have a ferocious villain and allow me to be frank, Mathieu Amalric looks anything but intellectual.

Despite the fact that QOS sucked at some part, Olgra Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton did nice performances. I was at first surprised when I found out that Olga Kurylenko, the creepy girl I saw in Hitman and Paris Je T'aime is the new Bond Girl. But she damn showed a star quality in her.

Craig. Daniel Craig. Can't get enough of him. Craig has all the charm, charisma, confidence and looks that are needed to play Bond. I wanna see more of him. I have to admit that he probably is the number 1 reason I love QOS. I love his version of Bond better than Pierce Brosnan. I've heard someone say this sadistically on flixster : Daniel Craig works for a production company that don't deserve him. Maybe he was all the reason this 4 stars for. Without him, QOS is just AN ACTION WITH NO SOUL when revenge is a dish best served with a revolver and bullets.

M: "It'd be a pretty cold bastard who didn't want revenge for the death of someone he loved.

James Bond: "I don't think the dead care about vengeance. "
    Craig. Daniel Craig.

All eyes on him. Without him, QOS is just AN ACTION WITH NO SOUL when revenge is a dish best served with a revolver and bullets.

it was a pretty good movie and i thought Miko Hughes and Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon and Gary Sinise and Bill Paxton did great in it and its about A movie based on what was to be the third lunar-landing mission. This film shows the trials and tribulations of the Apollo 13 crew, mission control, and families after a near-fatal accident cripples the space vehicle. A mission that couldn't get TV airtime because space flights had become routine to the American public suddenly grabbed the national spotlight. This is a tale of averted tragedy, heroism and shows a testament to the creativity of the scientists who ran the early space missions and well anyways it was a pretty good movie i thought

Dwight McCarthy :"You made a big mistake yourself... you didn't flush."

    THE MOVIE OUTLINE

"Sin City" is four stories inter-weaved telling tales of corruption in Basin City. The first story (The Customer is always right) is short, and is based on the depression of women that they need to pay a man to feel loved when they commit suicide. The next story is Part 1 of "That Yellow Bastard" about a cop who needs to save a young girl from being raped. The third story (The Hard Goodbye) features a man taking revenge on a heartless killer who murdered his one-night stand. The fourth story (The Big, Fat Kill) stars a man who must dispatch a cop's body, but it will be a tough ride to do it. Following that are two conclusions to Sin City, the ending of "That Yellow Bastard" which is set 8 years later, and a short story that ends Sin City. "

    Sin City

    MY APPRAISAL

If it wasn't Sin City, I would've fallen asleep, because I was damn drowsy that night. But on the other hand, I was driven by curiosity so I forced my sleepy head and shove in the DVD. But, all of a sudden my sleepiness vanished into thin air, I totally forgot how sleepy I was and I was so into the movie.

    MASTERCLASS PICTURE OF THE YEAR!

In adapting Frank Miller's best-seller comic book series "Sin City", Robert Rodriguez knows well how it best served : cold and harm. Come in two daring flavours, sinners and whores. Allow me to welcome you to the shady life in a town called the city of sinners. Some call it a place to kill, a place to redeem nasty lust, yet a place where they all seeking for revenge.

Rodriguez delivers "Sin City" in 3 extraordinary bloodcurdling stories which will leave us beg for the sequels for good. They are "The Hard Goodbye", "The Yellow Bastard", and "The Big Fat Kill". The high contrast black and white image is absolutely stunning and make the film even more distinctive. Colours occasionally appear when someone's throat got cut off and one time when the yellow jackass shows up and bleed his horrible yellow blood. Totally "yeesh".

I fell in love with Clive Owen who starred as Dwight McCarthy. He's wicked fierce and he knows exactly how to do it flawlessly on screen. The naration he brought up is excellent. Jessica Alba is also a fairly exact cast for Nancy Callahan, a 19 years old whore with her innocent face but also drooling over man. What I truly disappointed in is Alexis Bledel. She's pretty, she has the qualified appearance as a prostitute. But Bledel's acting is way cheesy. She's badly outshined yet drawned by the Devon Aoki and Rosario Dawson. She tended to be a real annoying and promiscuous! I even hate her more when she turns out being the rat. What an unforgettable scene that is when Gail bite her neck like a wild animal. I was like 'way to go, whore, rip the little bitc* to death!'

It was my first thought that Sin City is a movie with the 'spot the star' syndrome just like many other. I mean, this refers to some up and coming names in Hollywood moreover to few established stars. One is on the comeback trail. Sin City bind us to the point where we're no longer watching actors with names, but the characters they are playing. For example, when we see Elijah Wood, we're not thinking of Frodo Baggins. And Bruce Willis isn't John McClane. More than anything else, that's a testimony to how excellent Rodriguez does his job.

    MY APPRAISAL

    A STRAIGHT KNOCKOUT!

The best and most lavish action flick in this decade. The brand new Casino Royale sets also a brand new standard for espionage escapade that will be tough to top. I found Casino Royale the slickest action flick I've ever seen. Casino Royale impressively relaunches James Bond with tension-filled high stakes poker games and exhilarating action sequences.

Casino Royale Pictures, Images and Photos

There's one certain reason why Casino Royale is the greatest and hippest Bond flick in ages and his name is Daniel Craig. A daring way to represents Ian Fleming's legendary action hero. A brand new Bond package sure is a risky thing to do. More complicated and hard-hitting. Either it will cause career suicide or a highly praised modern James Bond era. And Craig has done a superb job. Not only amazed the viewers with all his action scenes, he put a soul in the movie. He's on the spotlight, he's adorable, he's sex on wheel, and he's without hesitation the BEST JAMES BOND EVER.

A step in the right direction for the Bond franchise and yet the most ELECTRIFYING AND SENSATIONAL 007 flick ever produced.

    MY APPRAISAL

Max Payne is no doubt very disappointing and a failed Matrix (slash) Sin City (slash) Constantine wannabe. It's completely pathetic and I felt like running out of the theatre. It's not worth your dough nor your time. The movie is sloow like it'll never last and it's hugely boring. Mark, Mark. What's gotten into you? What happen to a hero we all worshiping in The Departed? We all know how The Happening sucked and simply one of 2008's worst movie. It's either he's unlucky in script selection or simply getting comfortable working in weird flicks.

Lack of chemistry between the characters and I didn't find myself root for them. A devastated man in late 30s, lost his family and drastically turn into a reckless jerk by killing people aroud him. We know how Max Payne is a jerk who can't deal with what he's been through. What do they expect us, condolences? So hell no, I don't root for the character.

And after 2 hours sitting and suffering on the theatre seat, this boring tale of Max *jackass* Payne will leave us nothing but ANOTHER TESTIMONY HOW GAME ADAPTATION FILM SUCK.

"The Devil is building his army. Max Payne is looking for something that God wants to stay hidden. That is what makes him more dangerous."

"Olive Hoover, a seven year old girl, has one goal: to win a beauty pageant. Her heroin-addicted grandfather is her coach, and when she becomes a finalist in the Little Miss Sunshine pageant, her whole family takes on the road in an old run-down VW. The trip is anything but smooth; her father Richard is struggling to promote his self-help program, with no success, mother Sheryl is trying to simply keep her family happy and together, her brother Dwayne will not to speak until he joins the Air Force academy and, to quote himself, "hates everyone," and her uncle Frank must come with them after attempting suicide when he fell in love with one of his male graduate students. The first in a long run of disasters is the bus breaking down, causing them all to push it to get the trip started. There are MANY more things, however, which hinder Olive's Little Miss Sunshine career."

    MY APPRAISAL

    ORIGINAL & CLASSY FAMILY-ON-THE-ROAD COMEDY!

One of my favourite movies of all time. I never thought I'd like it this much. I thought the whole idea about family-on-the-road comedy is crap after I saw R.V. (which I hate). But Little Miss Sunshine proves me wrong! I think Little Miss Sunshine and Juno are similar in some way. And just as I know Juno's pretty cool, I never liked it. I prefer this one a lot more since it hit me very hard like a big yellow van.

Little Miss Sunshine deserves every credits it gets. The script is certainly flawless and supported by A list performances. It has many memorable moments and quotes. Not a single moment is wasted. I mean you know those movie who put us unescessary scenes. There's not a single scene is in this film without having a reason for being there. And sure huge credits to all the crew. Toni Collette stunning performance as a mother (again!), Greg Kinnear, and Steve Carell are equally great. Abigail Breslin is a star since she never let me down. I really like Paul Dano here and Dwayne Hoover is my favourite LMS character. The chemistry sparks between the characters and it has all the features to make one movie irresistable since it radiates charm and warmth.

JUICIEST 5 STAR ENTERTAINMENT OF THE YEAR.

Frank: "Yeah. French writer. Total loser. Never had a real job. Unrequited love affairs. Gay. Spent 20 years writing a book almost no one reads. But he's also probably the greatest writer since Shakespeare. Anyway, he uh... he gets down to the end of his life, and he looks back and decides that all those years he suffered, Those were the best years of his life, 'cause they made him who he was. All those years he was happy? You know, total waste. Didn't learn a thing. So, if you sleep until you're 18... Ah, think of the suffering you're gonna miss. I mean high school? High school-those are your prime suffering years. You don't get better suffering than that."

I was very disappointed with the comedy cd section in JB Hifi in Melbourne on the weekend. Not a single copy of Lano & Woodley Sing Songs! Disgraceful! Either they're being really slack in ordering them in or the cd is so popular that they're constantly sold out. Most likely the latter I reckon :-)

I was impressed by FUNimation's translation of the this movie. The VAs performed quite well, and the script was fairly decent. The dubbed special features a variety of musical acts, although the most disappointing music, by far, was the title sequence by Andy Baylor. The obnoxious techno track did not match the opening animation at all, and actually had me longing for Rock the Dragon. This movie is the best for Trunks fans, and for those who would like to know more about the history of Trunks before he went to the past to give the antidote to Goku to prevent his death by a virus. There are some very emotional scenes, and some great fighting scenes as well.

    MY APPRAISAL

I don't know if writing a review about the possibly Hollywood's most popular yet prestigious masterpiece is a suitable act. I have to state it one more time, that I'm no classic junkie wannabe or what. But as a matter of fact, I need to witness something everybody are worshipping about through the ages. And after I did witness it, here's my thought.

    casablanca Pictures, Images and Photos

Casablanca is truly heartwrenching and classic. It has many memorable quotes and scenes we'll remember forever. The screenplay is excellent, performance by Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart are certainly first rate and the next coming years, we will all remember Rick Blain and Ilsa Lund as Hollywood's best screen couple.
And as time goes by, Casablanca will always have its charm.
