Taxi Driver

'Loneliness has followed me my whole life, everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There's no escape. I'm God's lonely man.' My All time favorite movie ever!! I love Paul Schrader's screenplay.. the wit dialogue, creative situation. It's fresh and modern and old school believe in the same time.. "I'm a god's lonely man.." that's one of my favorite quote. De niro was really great and so was Harvey Keitel. i watched it for over 20 times.. in everytime i love it more and more. Bernard Hermann's Score was incredibly fit with the story and De Niro's Charactor!! The style scorsese did in this movie is the best directing work of him. Containing interesting subjects that's so original and breakthrough.. One of the Sweetest, Most Inspiring and charming films of all time# Indifferent, loneliness in nowaday soceity is for us to bear.. someday we're gonna get organizized..

Camera Buff
Unrated
Great Piece of Art!! so naive, sincere and wonderful.. Symbolics.. Metaphorsis.. How could a director to tell the story no one ever told before, in the simply style you never wish to see.. Great story teller.. I love the friend's mother part.. The Dwarf part.. ohh!! every parts of the movie!! One of the best movie about movie making, about telling story, peace & activism and.. right or wrong!! Everybody knows Blue, White and Red.. But no one ever talk about "Camera Buff".. It's maybe the first Movie of Kieslowski that made him well known in world of cinema before "Decalogue". Really sorry that this film was under-rated!! This is sure be My personal favorite!! PS. Anybody help!! can anybody send flixster the "Camera Buff" poster or something to be the cover for this great movie!!

From the opening to the end.. is full of intelligent scenes.. all the scenes were so interestin' and charming.. with mad & charming charactors and situation. This is one of the movies i dream to make.. if i were a film director!! I thought of Guiseppe Tornatore while i watched it.. by Let us go deep in life of a social.. Moral and norms of Them.. How they live their life.. It's perfectly charming!! Epic!! Morality flys high!! Hospitality rides in the air!! Beautiful.. Beautiful.. I cried.. The charactors like Blacky, Marko, Natalia, Jovan.. and many many even Sony(A monkey) will be in my heart forever.. This could be one of the most charming movie with most Charming charactors in the world!! The Story is perfect, clever and sharp.. filled with madness and insanity!! One of the best war satire films. The Black comedy of the century.. Classic like "Dr. Strangelove.." Kusturica is a god of film makers.. I'll continue with "Life is a Miracle" very very soon!! Love your work, Emir!! Eagle Eye
by BrianAll the action I was expecting, and very exciting. A little bit like the Bourne films, but without Matt Damon''s annoying face. More groun up for Shia Labeouf and with the hotness that is Michelle Monaghan.
But smaller parts from Rosario Dawson and Anthony Mackie, who is perhaps wasted here, but still nice to see, and is impressing me with his versatility.
Well cast and well done, doesn't disapoint, even if I wasn;t exactly paying such close attention during the whole movie ;)~Hey, you should really see this!

El Orfanato (The Orphanage)
by LadyThe Orphanage is a Thriller which gives some wonderfully tense moments and really made me jump on a couple of occasions.
Not your average ghost story, this is a beautifully created horror, whilst managing to steer away from predictable route, so many take and instead providing a genuine realistic account of an unknown world. For fans of World Cinema.

Kush
by MasaioStarts off as a really good movie, I mean looking at all that smoke made me wonder why I ever quit. However, the movie changes and steals the plot of Alpha Dog in fact I'm wondering if it is not based on the same story. Still O,K. movie to rent, if your due your freebie.
For all you potheads, my gift to you is some Kush. Now this stuff goes for about $6500 a pound. Nothing like that dirt and skunk weed I was pushing back in the 90's. Smoke up!!! Just kidding ya'll know this shit is illegal and I am definately not a kid anymore. LOL.

The Cure
by BrianYou know, when Heath Ledger died everyone made a huge deal (deservedly) out of it. But there wasn't much said about Brad Renfro's death.
I think he was an excellent actor, who, unfortunately, was poorly utilized because of his drug/substance abuse problem.
Thast being said, this is a good film.
Yes, it's a kiddie movie to an extent, but a good one, with a good a worthwhile message that is not sugarcoated. It's dealt with appropriately, and there is no unrealistic happy ending.
The three main actors give exceedingly believeable performances in this heartwarming flick that got the tears rolling. Sciorra is very likeable as well, although almost unrecognizable from the roles she gets nowadays (think her role on The Sopranos).
If you haven;t seen this, try to catch it.Hey, you should really see this!

Mirrors
by DeanOk, let go of the fact that Kiefer is playing Jack Bauer versus the supernatural and you actually have a pretty decent ride here and it starts right away.
I have not seen the Korean original so I do not have a comparison, but this movie was taut and frightful. It has enough blood to slake the thirsts of the gore mongers and enough substance to meet the needs of someone looking for a plot in their horror.
The chills were real. The settings were spooky. The tension was high.
I am not sure where are the complaints are coming from on this one in the reviews I have read. This was much better than I was led to believe.
the jumpy, hair-raising scenes were well met and not overly trite. The score actually got into my head.
I had a bit of a problem with how we came to the end and definitely some character silliness, but I found it believable enough to be unobtrusive as it pertained to my enjoyment of this film.
I was more than satisfied with the ending and without giving it away please note that it was unconventional and surprising.Much better than I would have thought.

In Bruges
by SerdarMartin McDonagh writes and directs his first movie and the man has skills for both. This is a very good dark comedy, with great dialogs, good acting and direction. The city is surely one of the lead actors here and a good one. The movie will definitely make you want to see Brugges.
Colin Farrell.. Well, I used to find him irritating, used to think that he got to be an actor because he could make his eyebrows like that. Two clumsy murderer roles (here and in Cassandra's Dream) changed my mind. Still not a big fan but now I can stand him.
"Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like TOTTENHAM." Hilarious!! Well it looks like they are going to hell this year!.Hey, you should really see this!

Eagle Eye
by JasonThis movie makes me fear writting this review. I don't know who's out there watching me and coming up with ways to make my life miserable. Oh and fillings are actually radio transmitters. It's a huge conspiracy I tell you.
Okay so this movie is not exactly a conspiracy theory themed adventure but the essence is felt. Imagine one day getting a call and saying you have to do something otherwise you or someone you love may die. Yeah at first you would think it is a joke but then you realize the voice on the other end means business. Next thing you know you are in over your head and the no matter the outcome you may still perish.
Although rather intriguing, I found a few different ways to end the threat or hide from it before it got out of hand and thus saving the world sooner. I suppose the screenwriters need to extend the film by about 50 minutes, otherwise it would be considered a short, anf there goes Best Picture nominee odds. Well actually this one probably won't even be a candidate anyways.
This is your basic decent post-summer filler. Not great, not bad and not a lot of movie goers. Shia Labeouf was just brought on board to attract a movie audience. None of the remain cast really have as larger a fan base. Let's be real without Shia this movie would have been overlooked and would have been out on DVD a few weeks after its' theatrical release.
This movie is a good way to fill the void on a fall afternoon. It brings on found memories of the excting summer film season and the upcoming holiday blitz. I recommend this film, but am not pushing anyone to actually see it.Hey, you should really see this!

Coffee and Cigarettes
by SerdarJim Jarmush puts his favoritte actors in front of the camera, with a table and some coffee and cigarettes (tea on occasions) and shoots short movies where actors mostly improvised. Now, there is nothing wrong with that!
You get Roberto Benigni blathering away like he did in Down by Law. Tom Waits explaining Iggy Pop why he was late. Steve Coogan wanting to escape from Alfred Molina. Steve Buscemi talking to twins about the King. RZA and GZA running into Bill "fucking" Murray. And my favoritte, Cate Blanchett meeting with her cousin Cate Blanchett, yes two Caties!!
To enjoy this film, you need to like some of these actors, get excited by the cameos,
you need to like the director's style and you need to like cinema. Otherwise, you'll find it boring..Hey, you should really see this!

Antikörper (Antibodies)
by LadyAntibodies really exceded my expectations on many levels. Firstly as a fictional story of a serial killer, this has to be the best one since ?The Silence of the Lambs?. It was controversial, made you feel uncomfortable in parts, it was casted well, especially in the case of the serial killer.
In terms of World Cinema, this is way up there with the best, it?s also high up there as a Thriller, as there are twists and turns that left me shouting at the tv screen!
If you enjoy films which cover any of these genres (Serial Killer, World cinema and Thrillers) give it a watch, it?s impressive, you won?t be disappointed. For lovers of Thrillers, Serial Killer films and World Cinema.
