Total unrestrained love of the source material by the directors made this film one of the best and most misunderstood films of 2008. If you want to feel like a joyous child again, check this movie out.
Liam Neeson can and will kick your ass. One of the best films of 2008, that hardly anyone has seen. Fox continues to prove itself the most incompetent studio in Hollywood by repeaditly delaying the US release of this film.
Maybe I am just too cynical, but this movie annoyed me a tad. Why chase a girl around for your entire life when she acts so helpless and continuously craps on you? It wasn't love motivating this kid, it was stupidity. Boyle is at the top of his game though. The mediocre story is beatifully told, and makes the filthy and impoverished India tragic and beautiful.
Fun, but could have been so much better. Yes, its more of a setup for future films, but I would have liked a little more of Tony Stark's dark genius and a little less slapstick.
Thank your Jean-Claude. Thank you for this film, and thank you for your apology. It hit me hard. Welcome back to the big time. I hope you make the films you always wanted to from now on.
LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR! Who said extreme violence wasn't fun? Only problem I had with the film was it was so over the top (no pun intended) that at times i thought I was watching Weird Al's Rambo spoof from "UHF".
