King Kong (2005) (2005,  PG-13)
King Kong (2005) 5.0 Stars
After having watched this film again, I have taken a different perspective on it. The first time through, I found myself feeling very sad for Kong.

He was just a sad, lonely monkey, who loved Anne, and he was killed, sadly, because there was really nothing else that could be done. They couldn't very well have a giant ape running around killing everyone.

I still feel sad for Kong, but something else besides the death of Kong made me really sad.

What was that? It was the Death of Mr. Hayes. Now you may think, Mr. Hayes shot at Kong without reason, but, no; for all he knew, Kong could have killed Anne already, and there was nothing else to do. He was just trying to do what was right.

And that is not all. I am not as sad for the death of Mr. Hayes as I am sad for Jimmy. Jimmy was all alone in the world, with the exception of Mr. Hayes. I feel so sad. What happened to Jimmy?

Think about it; I have. What would you do if that happened to you? You had one person, and only one person in the world, and that person was gone, forever, just like that.

Maybe I am looking too far in to this, but I am really depressed. I know it is just a film, but I am so sad for Jimmy.

Sleepy Hollow (1999,  R)
Sleepy Hollow 5.0 Stars
I need to add more to this review... It really was a great movie... and not only because Johnny Depp was in it...

When I was 11, in 6th grade, I was completely obsessed with this film, and would watch it EVERY SINGLE DAY. Seriously... If a day went by, and I hadn't watched it, I'd feel really bad, like insanely so...

So I watched it every day, and I memorized every line. It's a really good film. Very entertaining, and it made me fall in love with Johnny Depp... Man... I was in love with him when I was 11... That's bad. I was a crazy child.

Everyone said... "He's not that hot." or maybe they'd say "He looks pale... He's not hot." Or you know, something along those lines... except Brena... she agreed with me. She and I knew that Johnny Depp was hot... And everyone else thought he wasn't... They were sure proved wrong. Geeeze... So hot he is... and now everyone agrees. I was right.

So yeah... Great film... It's got funny parts, and Johnny Depp is extremely sexy. Tim Burton is really cool, and he always puts Johnny Depp and Christopher Lee in his films. That is a good thing.

Ah... and Dumbledore was in it too, if that means anything to you... He got his ass handed to him though... Quite dead he was... I never have really liked the Harry Potter films all that much.

X-Men: The Last Stand (2006,  PG-13)
X-Men: The Last Stand 5.0 Stars
Oh, my heart... I feel so sad. This one was sad and wonderful... I feel as though my heart has been torn out and ripped to shreds. I loved this film. I feel so sad. It was really wonderful...

For about ten minutes I almost wanted to die, but then at the end I was not as sad, but still rather sad. Poor Magneto.

Also, there is a little extra bit after the credits. So stay and watch it.

*edit*
Man... I need to not write my reviews so soon after having seen these films... I sound a little crazed... It was an intense flm though.

The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King 5.0 Stars
Absolutely wonderful!! Very action filled and suspenseful. Absolutely beautiful.

This was a very grand film. It was so sad. I do not know about you, but I cry when I watch it. Quite different from the book in some places, as all of them were, but still wonderful. Peter Jackson deserves a round of applause and a big mint chocolate chip ice cream cone. What a wonderful film...

The exteneded edition is a must, I'd say. If you watch it, you might as well watch all of the scenes. Though the scene with Gandalf and Pippin in Minas Tirith is clearly a different take in the regular edition verses the extended edtion...

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 5.0 Stars
Oh my goodness!! I loved this more than most things. There were many funny parts, and sad parts also, and parts that just made me want to say: "Elizabeth Swan!! How could you, you heartless demon??"

I definately recommend this. And stay after the credits too. I always stay after the credits, and sometimes there are little extras at the ends of films. Not everyone does that. But it pays off sometimes. Watch this!! I cannot wait until Memorial Day weekend 2007.

What to do??? How can I possibly wait that long until the sequel?? Ahhhh!!

This film was so beautiful. I cannot believe that mask. It is so attractive. Is it just me? I think my sister agrees. How could a man who is not at all physicaly visable be so attractive? I do not know, but he is.

But that is not all. It was just a really great film. I liked the whole idea, the story. I thoughoughly enjoyed this.

I was very glad that they never showed his face. Because usually in films like this, it would be expected that they would show his face. But they didn't. It was a good thing. It would have been degrading otherwise.

I am glad that she respected that he did not want to be seen. I also really loved that they all actaully wore the masks and stood against the government in the end.

It was a great film. It really was...

So so funny. I absolutely loved it. I also loved the books, but only through the third one. The fourth one was aweful, I think, and I could not bear to read on after that. I loved the film though. Very amusing.

My Very favourite of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I am still sad that Tom Bombadil was not in it, but it was great nonetheless...

I have decided to make this review as well as some others longer. This film was absolutely beautiful. The cast was wonderfully chosen (Except for Liv Tyler) to beautifully retell the classic books. I loved these films. The Books were also great. Wonderful, I do say...

I would definately recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it.

The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers 5.0 Stars
Excellent, excellent. Very good Gollum. Splendid.

Gollum was definately a very very good character and Any Serkis did phenominal work bringing him to life. I absolutely loved the ents. One of my very favourite Lord of the Rings Scenes comes from this film. What is that scene you ask??? That would be the Last March of the Ents. Beautiful. I loved that scene...

I also think that the exteneded edition of this and the other Lord of the Rings films were absolutely enjoyable. Without the extended and new scenes, Pippin and Merry are not in it as much, and that is just sad.

I had very good fun watching this. I need to buy it so I can watch the bloopers. I love bloopers.

My sister bought it instead. The bloopers were not as great as I anticipated. It is still a good film though.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (2005,  PG)
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride 4.0 Stars
I love Tim Burton. Have you noticed that Christopher Lee and Johnny Depp are in many of his movies together? ie: Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sleepy Hollow...

This was a very "cute" film. Johnny Depp's character was so adorable. And his voice was fantastic. Yes, a very good movie indeed. However, I am not too fond of the ending, but that is ok, because the rest of it and having Johnny Depp and Christopher Lee do voices for characters was recompensation for the strange ending.

Wooo Hooo!! I love films about extraterrestrials, but not ET the extraterrestrial. He is not a real alien. He doesn't look like one any way. But this movie was very exciting and ironic, and I liked the whole bit about the glasses of water... Oh how ironic and great...

I forgot how great this film is. I am changing my 3 star rating to a four and a half, because it is really an enjoyable film to watch. I hadn't seen it in a long time, and I watched it again just recently, and it is very amusing. And Jonathan Taylor Thomas was such a cute little kid.

The X-Files - Fight the Future (1998,  PG-13)
The X-Files - Fight the Future 4.0 Stars
I love the X-Files. I really need to lengthen this review, seeing how I have seen all of the episodes of this series at least once, most more than once.

I really love this series. The film was really great. It was one of the best 1998 films, in my view. I think that they should definately make a second X-Files film. I would watch it, and then buy it on DVD. Imagine how great it would be!

If they can make this good of a film in 1998, I am sure that a 2007 or 2008 film would be twice as good, if that is even possible. My goodness, has anyone else realized how long it has been since this film came out. A long time, that is for sure.

Very good still. The teleporter was very very "cool" so to speak. My favourite remains to be Magneto though.

I never read the comics or anything, so I didn't know about Jean being the Pheonix until I saw the third one.

I went back and re-watched this one, and you probably already know this, but you can see a hint of the Pheonix in Jean when she is "fighting" Cyclops and when she is holding back the water. Her eyes are a bit orange.

I never knew the significance of this until I saw the third one.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe (The X Files 2) (2008,  PG-13)
 The X-Files: I Want to Believe (The X Files 2) 4.5 Stars
X-Files... X-Files!! Woooooooooooooooooooo!! It was like a giant, really long episode of The X-Files... ONLY ON THE BIG SCREEN!! Ahhhhh!! ^_^ I almost died of excitement when the music started at the beginning... Holy shit!!

SPOLIER!! (so don't read if you care about such things)

One of the best parts was when Skinner showed up... because buy that point we were all like... "I guess it's just Mulder and Scully, and then a bunch of new characters... But no... SKINNER!! Weeeeeeeee!!" Oh... The more I talk about it, the more I love it, and the more I want to see it again....

The only way it could have been better would be if the Lone Gunmen didn't die in season 9, and they would have been in the movie... I love those guys...

But anyway, it was great, and I HOPE SO MUCH that they make another one... Oh, I love it so much!! ^_^
