i'm not anti-violence in movies but guy ritchie was too busy shooting and kicking people's ass he forgot to let sherlock holmes reveal himself. i want more character depth!

Despite the fact that it's set in China 1920s, I relate a lot to the characters more than I've ever had with any movies. The emotional journey between Kitty and Walter seems terribly realistic. Norton and Watts deliver their lines perfectly. The stunning cinematography is just a cherry on top.

One of the very few movies with cinematography that's ahead of its time. With the subliminal msg, brilliant writing and acting, I find something new everytime I view the film.
