Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1 5.0 Stars
"Revenge is a dish best served cold." -Old Kingston Proverbs. This quote is so KILL BILL. Kill Bill is one of my most favourite movie. Uma Thurman is great! I love her. She and Quentin make this awesome movie. Simple plot: revenge. But developped and carries out in a briliant way. Yellow is the theme color for this movie. Strong and unique dialogues with strong and unique character. The characters here in this movie are eccentric. The 17-year-old Gogo Yubari in a school uniform yet she turns out to be very sadistic. The Bride, Oren Ishii, Elle Driver, Budd, Vernita Green, and Bill. Bill isn't exposed in this first movie. We only find that he is a sadistic and heartless bast*rd. About Black Mamba, we know how much she is hurt and how much she is determined to revenge her former mates. "Silly rabbits tricks are for kids.." So many memorable quotes from this movie. And let's not forget the highly-skilled, dressed as a villain in Star Trek, the professional Sofie Fatale. I will say that Kill Bill is the most MEMORABLE movie i've ever watched.

No Country for Old Men (2007,  R)
No Country for Old Men 5.0 Stars
No Country for Old Men scare the sh*t out of me! Hollywood got another talented actor, Javier Bardem. Javier succeeds in bringing the cold-blooded psycho murderer Anton Chiguir! The strength of this film lies in him. Seeing him walking (with his gas) and even talking (Coin Toss scene) creeps me out! All along this movie, i always prepare myself of what this Anton Chiguir will do next. I couldn't help closing my ears watching this piece of art for i am scared to see what's next in each scene. This simple, low-budget movie worth the oscar as for many talented-hands working behind the scenes of No Country for Old Men. They pull up together and produce such a work of art! Coen Brother managed to deliver the creepiness without much music (the one you won't find in cheap horror movies which MUSIC scare you out, not the film itself).

Babel 5.0 Stars
The best movie of 2006! I haven't watched all, but I'm very sure that it is the best movie of 2006! Really went to my heart. It should've won the Academy's best picture instead of The Departed! The movie's deep, beautifully acted and emotionally strong! Two thumbs up for Alejandro Inarritu.

The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring 5.0 Stars
This is a MASTERPIECE!! It's good in every aspect. Costumes, score, acting, cinematography, special effects. script, etc. I'm proud to live in LOTR's time. Oh man, it's hard to find a movie of this quality! I like it soooo much!! Fellowship of the Ring is the best Lord of the Rings!! If you see the making of this movie, you'll know how much effort they put to this film. Bet we all can see where all those hardworks have gone.

The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers (2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers 5.0 Stars
Second to the trilogy. The Two Towers not as luxurious as the Fellowship of the Ring. It is darker, gloomier, and showed more pain and suffering. The characters are more developped. We get to know them closer and deeper. The Two Towers is a masterpiece. What I love most is the battle of Helm's Deep scene. Very real. The actors play their roles greatly. But the best director award hasn't given to PJ yet. So many good competitors in 2002.

The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King 5.0 Stars
A spectacular ending for the greatest trilogy of all time!! So sad it is the end. There will be no more of Lord of the Rings. 4 years has passed still not a single movie can match LOTR in every aspect. Why do all good things come to an end? Really break my heart. But it is satisfying!! I didn't regret 2 hours queuing.

Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is almost a perfection! it's not everyday that we can see a film with fantasy genre was highly appreciated by the academy award. ROTK is more than just a visualization of a book. it is not made to set a record on opening weekends or to achieve glory in the box office. it is made for the fans of the book by a loyal fan of the book. characters are all developped from the first movie. it is amazing how peter jackson can draw all the talents from his actors. in every dialogue, every scenes, every gesture they make, it all means something.

Aragorn to Eowyn: "It is but a shadow and thought that you love. I cannot give you what you seek."

Every scene in this movie shivers me timbers! A good combination of pictures, dialogues, actings, and scores that we don't see every day.

Laberinto del fauno, El, (Pan's Labyrinth) 5.0 Stars
Pan's Labyrinth is one of the most artistic movie I've ever seen! It's theme score really stuck in my head. Guillermo del Toro has proven his place as one of the most professional director. Really creepy and sadistic. This is it, a fairy tale for grown-ups. Good acting, good dialogues, good script. Everything in it deserves a praise and award.
