A gripping post apocalyptic tale of survival against the odds in which Mortenen proves once again what a majestic actor he is. It is unfortunate that the eventual conclusion leaves a black mark on what was a wonderful piece of film-making.

Although dripping in a Hollywood sheen, this story of Mandela's influence on the South African rugby team's success is thoroughly enjoyable, with great performances throughout.
