It's one of M. Night's movies that I got to the end and went, "Now, why did I waste my time watching that?" If you want to see a better Shyamalan flick, try "The Village."

I laughed out loud a few times, but overall it wasn't all that impressive.

Every once in a while a gem drops outta no-where. October Sky is one of those gems.

Released in 1999 and Staring Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Cooper, this flick tells the True Story of Homer Hickam. A boy with dreams of building rockets.

The story takes place in the 1950's in a small mining town in WV. Without much support and with a lot of ridicule, Homer tries to overcome his situation and live his dreams.

You might be thinking..."blah blah blah, another feelgood movie". But thats OK...I would have thought that also. I almost changed the channel when this flick came on. I am Glad I didn't !

This is a great Flick and even better that its a true story. Homer Hickam went on to become a engineer at NASA and MUCH more.

Barely 900 people have rated this film. Excellent cast-story about what alcoholic abuse can do to an older child. The ending of the film is a narration by William Dafoe is a great summary of the plight of fathers and their sons and the destruction that can be caused at birth. Good flick. I really enjoyed it.

This movie is probably one of the most stunning, inspirational, thought-provoking and beautiful stories I've ever watched. The history behind this movie itself, is just completely remarkable.

One thing one can tell as soon as the movie begins, your brain clicks off that this is a western-world piece. It's European from beginning to end, there's just something about the mystique in European movies...that bring about a je ne sais quoi...and this one certainly has it.

If you can sit through some subtitles, then do it...it's really, really worth it.

An amazing story that illustrates to which extent we can use our imaginations when we are at our most miserable.

Subtitles, if you don't mind...give this one a go..you'll be glad you did! :]

Into the Wild Into the Wild

There is something in this story that is intriguing, and yet when you watch it...you feel the desire that McCandless had for abandoning everything that made him a number in the population and then embracing the wild.

I don't know whether it is these moving passages from the book, I assume, or just the scenery of how much emotion goes through one when they are on their own for so long and get to experience the beauty of nature firsthand.

I must find this book and you must watch this film, this isn't a request...do it whilst I try to scrambe some kind of review for it deeming worthy of it.
An amazing story that chronicles a young man disposing of almost all his worldly possessions and everything that identifies him as he is and welcoming with open arms what the world has in store for him.

Very rarely do I actually 'enjoy' a film like I Idid his one. And even more rarely do I want to actually purchase a DVD. This is a must buy. Johnny Depp is amazing (ya gotta remember Buster Keaton) and a very congenial cast. Simple, funny and a little sad. Chris-thanks for the recommendation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Flick! I was sceptical about Norton playing this role. Dont get me wrong I love his acting. This just didn't seem like a role for him...was I wrong!

This sequel blew the first away! Was this really meant to be a sequel? Brilliant acting by Norton...Terrific villain played by Tim Roth. On the spot CGI and on the edge of your seat action!

Hey fellows...Does Liv Tyler have great set of legs or what? Loved the tie in at the end. I cant wait for the next flick.

There Will Be Blood There Will Be Blood
    4.0 Stars by Suzy
It's #100 on IMDb's top 250. It's not your average film. It's complicated in substance while being simple in plot. If you don't like period movies-this around the turn of the century, then you might not like it. The performance by Daiel Day-Lewis is stellar. This film may also appeal more to males than females-it sure isn't a feel good film...but it is a very good film.

From IMDb: What is evil? What is hate? How low can an individual go with one's actions and still be considered human....? These, quite possibly, are the biggest questions raised in There Will Be Blood.
