Journey to the Center of the Earth (Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D)
by JosephNot a movie that had to be remade, again but I will say I actually enjoyed it. It was witty, funny and pretty exciting for the most part. Walden Media knows how to put their edge on a movie. Very awesome visuals and I wish I would've seen it on the big screen in 3D. I want all of you to know that it did tell a clever little story and even though it was ridiculous it was just simple fun. The three main characters ran the show, I liked how Josh had to act on his own for a bit and Anita and Brendan were really good together. All and all a good family fun experience.
Hey, you might not want to pass this one up and oh I want to apologize for my Babylon A.D. review hope this makes up for it and all the rambling I did.

Babylon A.D.
by JosephBabylon A.D. all I can say about this movie is huh? The style was too familiar but had some new twists thrown in haphazardly. I didn't really care for the way the lack of a story line was told and it didn't make me care about the characters one bit. Vin Diesel is his normal die hard killer with a rogue attitude and he sells it convincingly. However it started off interesting then became too drawn out and dull. For one thing you have no idea how far in the future it is so nothing really fits in time or place. Secondly the shots were trying too hard to own up to the genre and its easy to tell that it isn't a work of art. But on the plus side there were new elements of a futuristic time period and it had amazing new toys and vehicles popping up. This movie just had a certain feel to it but if you just sit and watch it without judgment you can overlook certain things about it, granted you may get bored at some point.
Do not see this unless you are looking for some mindless entertainment, because that's all it delivers.

Max Payne
by JosephOkay I went into this movie with mixed expectations but after the first few minutes I was very interested and rewarded with amazing eye grabbing visuals and effects. The story line was actually very well panned out but the script was rather dragging it down in some scenes. I did however like the representation of every thing they showed with the great fire effects and snow, the Valkyries were awesome. The time line was accurate as for the days changed well and made sense, the effects with lighting was most impressive like shadows and all for example. I think it was so under rated. Just watch it for the entertainment and fun factor, if you over think it you will miss a lot. I will point out I never knew what the video game was about so I can't say they did a good job telling the story in that regard. Anyway I enjoyed it for what it was and will probably be talking about it for weeks.
Hey, you should really see this because it was fun and a good time.
