My Favorite Movies

With a top-notch ensemble cast, cathartic and unsettling story, backed by a solid and varied, original soundtrack and excellent cinematography! Watch it! And own the soundtrack too, Mark Isham did well with the score for this film.

I like this movie because of it's unique approach of relating the whole connections of each character... Plus the transformation they did to Nicole Kidman was very impressive.

At the beginning of the movie, I thought my player wasn't functioning well, hehehe. But It's just really how it goes, it's like an art because of the style, technique and the development of the film. It's like watching The Blaire Witch Project again, but with a different angle.

Aside from the fact that this is a Steven Spielberg movie, this is one of the astonishing few movies that our dear Oprah did. She plays the role of Sofia, the emotionally conflicted housewife of Albert Johnson (Danny Glover). I do believe that she is a strong actress as well.

The movie was shown here in the Philippines in 2000, the same year that my father died. So... I mean, I wanted to believe that this movie really happened in real life.

I'll be definitely watching this over and over again.

What I like about this movie is that you can see and enjoy Thailand without actually being there... Plus the soundtrack is good too.

This movie reminds me of my childhood, before we use to have a betamax copy of this film... As a kid, I truly enjoy watching adventure with a bit of action and lot's of fun stuff going on.

I once rented a VHS of this movie way back 1994, it was a video rental that once existed in Bahayang Pag-asa near the Shell gas station . My first impression of it's cover was it is just another teen flick movie, it's true that it is but I enjoy this so much.

I remember watching this movie with some of my friends back in Pag-asa. I even bought the soundtrack 4 times because it was always been borrowed but it was never returned...
