| Run Fatboy Run - PG-13 | Pegg's physical comedy is second-to-none. I'm a sucker for an underdog story too. | December 8, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Auf der Anderen Seite (The Edge of Heaven) (On the Other Side) - Unrated | Wow. Multi-layered story holds together well. Probably worth repeat viewings. | November 17, 2008 | N/A | |||
| The Great New Wonderful - R | Weak. There's barely one watchable storyline in the whole bunch. Insulting to the viewer. | September 20, 2008 | N/A | |||
| L.I.E. - NC-17 | Outstanding. So many 3-dimensional characters in this film, and it felt so true. Brian Cox (oops thought it was Albert Finney) takes a scumbag of a character and somehow makes him terribly sympathetic. | August 22, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Charlie Bartlett - R |
Such a terrible waste of an outstanding cast. Occasionally promising but generally such hollywood fantasy crap that it was cringe-worthy. Can't remember a movie in recent memory where I kept hoping it would end soon and it just wouldn't end.
See L.I.E. instead. |

| Bella (Beauty) - PG-13 |
The plot was very thin, but the slice-of-life details and the actors portrayls made this quite good.
I expect pro-lifers will rhetorically turn this into a 'message movie', but I don't think the filmmakers made this with a specific agenda, and you will not be preached at. |

| Mail Order Wife - R | It would be pretty clever if you press the stop key shortly after the scene with the pigs. The less you know about the setup, the better, especially if you actually think its a documentary. | May 23, 2008 | N/A | |||
| I Like Killing Flies - R | low tech charmer depicting a vanishing way of life | May 7, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Le Scaphandre et le Papillon (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly) - PG-13 | May 5, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Once - R | May 5, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Red Road - Unrated | Very frustrating to watch at times, and the pace is on the slow side, especially since they take their sweet time revealing the salient details. Still not a bad watch. | May 3, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Charlie Wilson's War - R | May 1, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Pretty Village, Pretty Flame - Unrated | May 1, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Do You Remember Dolly Bell? - Unrated | April 30, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Bienvenue Chez les Ch'tis (Welcome to the Land of Shtis) (Welcome to the Sticks) - Unrated | April 30, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| The Bubble (Ha Buah) - Unrated | April 30, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| 5x2 (5 x 2: Five Times Two) - R | April 30, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Gori vatra (Fuse) - Unrated | If you have netflix, you should watch this on streaming video. Good stuff. | April 30, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Film Geek - R | April 29, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Before the Devil Knows You're Dead - R | April 28, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Revolver - R | Trying so hard to be clever, clever, clever, and coming off as very telegraphed, repetitive, dull, and insulting to the viewer. Might make a great double feature with 'Shanghai Surprise' or the remake of 'Swept Away' | April 28, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Adam's Apples (Adams ębler) - R | A head-scratching parable of good and evil that mostly works and is mostly amusing to watch. | April 24, 2008 | N/A | |||
| La Gran final (The Great Match) - Unrated | April 19, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Alexandra's Project - Unrated | April 19, 2008 | N/A | ||||
| Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story - R | Occasionally very funny, but more often it was meta, meta and meta again. Did I mention that it was a little too meta? Nice cameos, and the post orgy hotel room scene justified the rest of the movie. | April 17, 2008 | N/A |
