| Surrogates - PG-13 | This movie seemed sort of promising, but provided me with one hell of a letdown. I can't really say too much about this film, other than Bruce Willis playing another bad ass character. Only recommended for self-indulgent Bruce Willis fans. | December 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Orphan - R | I am actually still traumatized by one disturbing scene in this movie. Okay, so the whole hell-child plot line has been used before, but this movie actually has sort of an odd twist to it that will leave you shocked, disgusted, and in awe. I'd say it's worth watching just for that one scene. You may see it coming though...I did! Just use those foreshadowing clues!! | December 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Collector - R | I went into the theatre to see this movie not expecting very much. It has a Saw movie feel to it, but it's slightly different. The whole description of the movie on this site does seem a bit convoluted so let me just get to the point: Weirdo in house sets up a bunch of torture traps, people in house try to escape but can't! A few good gore scenes but nothing ground-breaking here. I probably wouldn't waste my time watching this as it just seems to rehash the Saw movies. | December 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Angels & Demons - PG-13 | Okay, so let's set aside the fact that this movie is a book (which I'm sure is leaps and bounds better than the movie). If we SOLELY look at it as a standalone film, I'd say it was executed fairly well. It was paced so that the scenes were always kept exciting and leaving you in suspense. I do believe I enjoyed this more than the Da Vinci Code. Well, the only downer is that this film doesn't contain Audrey Tautou. I somehow don't find Tom Hanks to be all that convincing in the role, nevertheless he's still a good actor. | December 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Lars and the Real Girl - PG-13 | I just watched this film to see what one of those $10,000 real dolls would look like. For all those who are wondering, there aren't any action scenes between Lars and Bianca, if you know what I mean ;-). This could be a letdown for some, but the movie itself serves a comedic yet sentimental and moving purpose. | December 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Repo! The Genetic Opera - R | This movie has the most amazing soundtrack. The songs may be a bit macabre, but downright enjoyable! It's so refreshing to see film so unique and original. I am definitely addicted to this...and zydrate!!! All hail REPO!! | April 1, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Uninvited - PG-13 | I wish I was uninvited to see this film-hahaha. Okay, I had to make that joke, but seriously, this film I think TRIES to be a "cerebral" scare but fails miserably. Just avoid watching it, nothing much to see. | April 1, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Milk - R | February 28, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Valkyrie - PG-13 | February 28, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas) - PG-13 | February 28, 2009 | N/A | ||||

| Good Will Hunting - R | February 28, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Nekromantik - Unrated | Oh Nekromantik...this film is truly a necrophiliac's dream come true! The graphics are very cheesy but you must love the necro! Dead flesh is really really sexy ;-). | November 11, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Eagle Eye - PG-13 |
I think this is an important film to see. The government can be watching you at any time! We must protect our civil liberties. |

| 300 - R | Interesting..good cinematography, although somewhat historically inaccurate. Lame one-liners. Overall, a pretty good movie. I saw 300 in IMAX so it was truly visually stunning. The soundtrack is amazing too! The heavenly voice of Azam Ali from Vas is featured in some of the songs. | November 11, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Lawn Dogs - R | Extremely original movie chronicling the relationship between an older male living in a trailer park in a forest on the outskirts of town and a female child living in a gated community and all the stigmas attached to it. The child is absolutely insistent on wanting to visit and talk to the older guy. Her parents seem to be ignorant to EVERYTHING she is doing yet this older man tries to watch out for her and ensure her safety. They learn from each other. Who says they can't have a purely platonic relationship? Offbeat and quirky..I love! | November 11, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Saw V - R | Classic Saw. Nothing more, nothing less. The story continues to unfold, getting richer and richer, and more character development occurs. Did I forget to mention the awesome gore scenes? Very very grisly! But oh so yummy! | November 11, 2008 | N/A | |||
| The Shawshank Redemption - R | This film is both uplifting and beautiful. A man wrongfully accused is sent to prison to serve a life sentence. However, he doesn't let himself rot in a corner in his prison cell, he becomes very productive. He changes the lives of his fellow prisoners and becomes one of the most unforgettable persons in that prison. | August 17, 2008 | N/A | |||
| One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest - R | Definitely one of my favorite movies...I think it says a lot about life and how we should not let our problems (whether they be mental, emotional, or physical) get in the way of living life to the fullest. | August 17, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Phantasm - R | Lanky, tall old guy with long, white hair=Terrifying. And that ball that just shoots around everywhere impaling people is quite terrifying too. | August 17, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Salo (Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma) - NC-17 | I find movies highlighting the darker nature of humankind to be quite intriguing. The feelings of awe and disgust while watching this film are unrelenting. | August 17, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) - PG-13 | We all know del Toro is an amazing director, and he gives us nothing but the best in Hellboy 2. Lots of imaginative visuals. If del Toro didn't direct it, I'm not sure I would have watched this movie. It suffers from a very weak plot, and the dialogue is extremely banal...but Hellboy himself is a cornball, so I guess I'll forgive that =p. | August 17, 2008 | N/A |
