I'm almost embarrassed to have watched this (because it doesn't fall into my usual taste in movies) but I thought it was great. Quirky, the humor is phenomenal, clever, and fits the generation it was aimed for perfectly. Ellen Page was great. Michael Cera pretty much played the same guy he did in Superbad, which isn't necessarily bad but he is completely eclipsed by Page's performance.
A good Tim Burton tragedy. All roles were played well. I don't really have a taste for musicals and the violence was really quite brutal. Those seeking a musical might be turned off by the violence, and those looking for the violence might be turned off by the musical aspects. Still, I wouldn't call it a bad movie at all.
Sofia Coppola as Mary was almost painful to watch. The story was still great, not as good as the first two but it wraps it all up nicely. It just doesn't compare with the first two as well. I'd have to see the first two again to get me to watch this one again.
I enjoyed the change in scenery in the first one more. The flashbacks in the movie felt abrupt and weird to me, but it was fantastic seeing De Niro play the role in them.
