Drag Me to Hell - PG-13 if there's something sam raimi is good at, it's horror comedies! normally, i hate justin long. but i enjoyed him in this. incredible opening credits and final shot. i'm glad to have seen this in theaters, totally worth it. honestly, it's not for everyone, especially those expecting SCARY movies. The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 - R "lick my bunghole, motherfucker!"

the combination of tony scott + denzel is gag inducing. in fact, i just hate denzel. go away.

Rachel Getting Married - R One of those love it or hate it movies. Once I got over how extremely annoying I think Anne Hathaway is, I thought this was a great movie. November 1, 2009

Into the Wild - R Really good but really unfortunate. Emile Hirsch is a great actor who picks his roles well. Kristen Stewart is kind of a one trick pony. Her acting skills only go so far but she comes off natural since she doesn't do much. I liked her a lot in this movie, too. Great film by Sean Penn. October 31, 2009

Imelda - Unrated This was really good, but later on it kinda becomes weird and Imelda starts sounding a bit strange. I don't remember if the movie went into the Marcos crimes but I didn't find it as a brainwashing kind of film that paints the pair as innocents. October 31, 2009

W. - PG-13 Josh Brolin was great and the movie didn't seem as bashing as I thought it was going to be. October 31, 2009

Punisher: War Zone - R Soooo blah! I think I actually preferred the one with Thomas Jane over this (still haven't seen the Lundgren Punisher). Ray Stevenson does look the part, though. October 31, 2009

Horton Hears a Who! - G Really funny! The voice actors were all great, especially Jim Carrey! Steve Carrell also does well. Highly recommended. I'm actually going to buy this. October 31, 2009

Blindness - R I can't believe this movie had been panned by everyone I talked to while it was out. I really liked it and recommended it to others who also really liked it. August 9, 2009

Bride Wars - PG Very entertaining. I could watch this multiple times. August 9, 2009

Salo (Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma) - NC-17 Honestly, I just DIDN'T GET IT. It's another film like Sweet Movie where there are underlying meanings to events, actions, etc. but I rented this from Netflix without the second disc so I didn't get to see any documentaries or anything to explain the significance of this film. I'm just moving on. August 9, 2009

The Rocker - PG-13 I had really low expectations for this, but it is a surprisingly good comedy. Jason Sudeikis killed me with his line about the yellow stretch Hummer being a "school bus for assholes" and Christina Applegate with "PILS: Person I'd Like to Stab" August 9, 2009
