Neon Genesis Evangelion - Platinum: The Complete Collection - G

Though I do believe it to be one of the most overrated series of all time (right next to Love Hina), Neon Genesis Evangelion is awesome in it's own right. I enjoyed everything from it's psychological revelance, to it's interesting characters. After the destruction of Tokyo, huge monsters known as "angels" have been threatening the rebuilt megopolis. It's up to three psychically adept teens to pilot huge mecha robots called Evangelions in order to put these angels to rest. This series is deeper than most, and you may need to watch it twice just to pick up everything. Keep in mind that this series features the worst english dub I've ever had the mispleasure of hearing.

Millennium Actress (Sennen joyû) - PG

This is yet again, a mostly unheard of anime film. It's a little something out of the norm, but Millenium Actress is a very entertaining movie and deserves the a spot on my heart. The movie starts once a once famous actress is given a special key found on the set that she once worked on. From here, the movie narrates her life story, and even shows her tracking down someone she once helped. This is only skimming the surface of the film, which I recommend to everyone regardless of anime preference.
