*** Hey y'all! Johnny Depp is the best actor ever as well as the sexiest!! I love any movie with him but he's the best as Captain Jack Sparrow =P
He plays all his characters so well and its amazing how well he portrays them! No other actor can go from character to character and pull it off like Johnny. He's so talented and does a great job in any role. Its always interesting to see what he'll do next! I enjoy comedies and Im not much into horrors, but I'll watch some :P Two of the funniest and greatest shows ever are The Simpsons and Family Guy! I also love How I Met Your Mother, My Name Is Earl, Thank God Your Here, That 70's Show, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Rove Live and My Wife And Kids. Im also loving comedians Carl Barron and Strassman =D I absolutely don't like Highschool Musical. Its just too lame and the cast act like kids, not actors. Worst movie ever!! I enjoy drawing and writing poetry. I love animals. I hate cruelty and disasters in the world. My fave music is by Avril Lavigne, Snow Patrol, The Veronicas, Delta & Leona Lewis. I love making new friends, so what cha waiting for =D *** GOOD QUOTES * I'm not as think as you drunk I am * * Good friends support each other after they've been humiliated. Great friends pretend nothing happened in the first place * * It takes two to lie: one to lie and one to listen * * I hope life isn't a joke, because I sure dont get it * * Damn right Im good in bed, I could sleep all day long * * You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you * * I'm in no condition to drive...wait! I shouldn't listen to myself, I'm drunk! * * Dont drink and drive: You could spill your drink * * There is a light at the end of every tunnel....just pray it's not a train! * * If you dont like my driving stay off the sidewalk * * Don't think of yourself as an ugly person, just a beautiful monkey * * Buckle up... it makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car * * Girls are like phones. We love to be held, talked too but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected! * * It takes 46 muscles to frown but only 4 to flip 'em the off * * Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance? * * Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling * * You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is 'never try' * * If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends? * * A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing * * Worst excuse for not turning in homework: I couldn't find anyone to copy it from * * Guys: No Shirt, No Service - Gals: No Shirt, No Charge * * If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? * * He who laughs last didn't get it * * There are three sides of an arguement -- your side, my side and the right side * * The road to success is always under construction * * I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder * * When you're right, no one remembers. When you're wrong, no one forgets * * Everyone makes mistakes. The trick is to make mistakes when nobody is looking * JOHNNY DEPP QUOTES * I'd get in and say (in Jack Sparrow voice) 'All right kids, everything all right?' And they'd say, 'Dad, come on, I'm watching Spider-Man.' Oh man, Spider-Man. My boy has gone into that full-on superhero phase. But I refuse to wear the tights. * * You use your money to buy privacy because during most of your life you aren't allowed to be normal. * * I don't pretend to be captain weird. I just do what I do. * * The only creatures that are evolved enough to convey pure love are dogs and infants. * * With any part you play, there is a certain amount of yourself in it. There has to be, otherwise it's just not acting. It's lying. * * The only gossip I'm interested in is things from the Weekly World News - 'Woman's bra bursts, 11 injured.' That kind of thing. * * Am I a romantic? I've seen 'Wuthering Heights' ten times. I'm a romantic. * * I'm shy, paranoid, whatever word you want to use. I hate fame. I've done everything I can to avoid it. * * When kids hit 1 year old, it's like hanging out with a miniature drunk. You have to hold onto them. They bump into things. They laugh and cry. They urinate. They vomit. * * This is a rumor-filled society and if people want to sit around and talk about whom I've dated, then I'd say they have a lot of spare time and should consider other topics... or masturbation. * * Sure, I find it touching, honestly, but awards are not as important to me as when I meet a 10-year-old kid who says, 'I love Captain Jack Sparrow' ... That's real magic for me. * * On a film you start to get closer and closer with the people you're working with, and it becomes like this circus act or this travelling family. * * I think it's an actor's responsibility to change every time. Not only for himself and the people he's working with, but for the audience. If you just go out and deliver the same dish every time...it's meatloaf again...you'd get bored. I'd get bored. * * I see this amazing, beautiful, pure angel-thing wake up in the morning, and nothing can touch that. She is the only reason to wake up in the morning, the only reason to take a breath. Everything else is checkers. (On Lily-Rose) * * He can ask me everything. If he wants me to have sex with an aardvark in one of his next movies, then I will do that. (On Tim Burton) * * I loved playing Edward Scissorhands because there's nothing cynical, jaded or impure about him. It's almost a letdown to look in the mirror and realize I'm not Edward. * * He credits Burton's belief in him for rescuing him from being "a loser, an outcast, just another piece of expendable Hollywood meat." * * If you catch me saying 'I am a serious actor,' I beg you to slap me. * * People say I make strange choices, but they're not strange for me. My sickness is that I'm fascinated by human behavior, by what's underneath the surface, by the worlds inside people. * * I've tried directing once before, and it was a very big learning experience. I definitely wouldn't do it again- especially if I had to be in it too! * * They saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which made me very nervous. I was scared they'd come home and say: "Hey, Dad, better luck next time!" But they came home quoting it, which was nice. (On his kids) * * We don't talk about her work or my work. So our life in that sense is very, very simple. We are great, great friends and we're in love. (On Vanessa) * * For me, ambition has become a dirty word. I prefer hunger. To be hungry-great. To have hopes, dreams-great. * * I know that I've said this before. But the fact that this award comes from the people, makes it all the more special, and thanks for keeping me employed, yeah? You're the boss. * * I feel my sex appeal will last no longer. (On retiring at 50) * * Even in the deepest, darkest scenes I'm always the one who is looking to find the humour and extract it. * * I love our house in the country. I can walk to the village and have a coffee and no-one pays any notice. I'm just another dad with his daughter. * * It's pure selfishness and ignorance and greed. There are no proper values in America, it's gonna explode, it should explode. * * Early on in my life career, I earned myself a reputation as a hell raiser but nowadays I leads a largely clean life, apart from my cigarette habit. * * I don't know maybe I'll entertain my kids with it around the house. (On his Jack Sparrow character) * * The term 'serious actor' is kind of an oxymoron, isn't it? Like 'Republican party' or 'airplane food.' * * I'd start to do these voices, start playing characters as these dolls and Lily'd just look up and go, 'Dad, could you just do your own voice, OK? You don't have to play it like that'. * * There are four questions of value in life... What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same. Only love. * * May the wind always be on your back and the sun upon your face and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars. * |

Bee Movie

You gotta feel sorry for the bees after watching this in a way... It was a good and funny film with a great cast.
Happily N'Ever After
PG
This movie wasn't too bad but it wasn't great either. I found it a bit boring in places but it did have a couple funny moments as well.
I Am Legend
PG-13
I expected this movie to be really scary, but it was just suspenseful. The effects were good and Will Smith gave a great performance. Quite sad in a couple of places and I wasn't too impressed with the ending... I felt it ended too sudden. Other than that, it was a good film. Before I watched this I thought how fun it would be to be the only person left in such a huge city, but the loniness he suffered was sad to watch...
Good Luck Chuck

Quite funny and enjoyable. Abit crude in some places, but other than that it was great! Dane Cook and Jessica Alba were perfect for and in this film

Almost Famous
by InezExperience it. Enjoy it. Just don't fall for it.
DIRECTED BY: Cameron Crowe
STARRING: Patrick Fugit, Kate Hudson, Billy Crudup, Jason Lee, Frances McDormand, Zooey Deschanel, Anna Paquin, Philip Seyour HoffmanSynopsis
Writer and director Cameron Crowe's experiences as a teenage rock journalist -- he was a regular contributor to Rolling Stone while still in high school -- inspired this coming-of-age story about a 15-year-old boy hitting the road with an up-and-coming rock band in the early 1970s. Elaine Miller (Frances McDormand) strict single parent whose distrust of rock music has helped to drive a wedge between herself and her two children, Anita (Zooey Deschanel) and William (Patrick Fugit). Anita rebels by dropping out of school and becoming a stewardess, but William makes something of his love of rock & roll by writing album reviews for a local underground
newspaper. William's work attracts the attention of Lester Bangs (Philip Seymour Hoffman), editor of renegade rock magazine Creem, who takes William under his wing and gives him his first professional writing assignment -- covering a Black Sabbath concert. While William is unable to score an interview with the headliners, the opening act, Stillwater, are more than happy to chat with a reporter, even if he's still too young to drive, and William's piece on the group in Creem gains him a new admirer, an editor at Rolling Stone offers William an assignment for a 3,000-word cover story on Stillwater, and over the objections of his mother , and after some stern advice from Bangs, Williams joins Stillwater on tour, where he becomes friendly with guitarist
Russell Hammond (Billy Crudup) and singer Jeff Bebe (Jason Lee). William also becomes enamored of Penny Lane (Kate Hudson), a Band Aid traveling with the band who is no older than William, but is deeply involved with Russell. Lester Bangs and Ben Fong-Torres, incidentally, were real-life rock writers Crowe worked with closely during his days as a journalist.Source: StarpulseMy Review
Almost Famous is one of some real proves in the existancy of wheel of life. What I'm trying to say here is, you see Cameron Crowe here, and you see him 5 years later in Elizabethtown. Got the idea? If you haven't, let me make this clearer that Almost Famous is a real PIECE OF WORK and Elizabethtown is RUBBISH.
The whole idea is BRILLIANT, about the lives of rockstars, the rise and fall and all is really caught me. This is why I put Cameron Crowe as a good director in my list, his work here is untouchable, way too far from his downfall in Elizabethtown. I'm sorry, I just still don't get why those great directors who have gained good movies want able to cast Orlando Bloom as the lead actor in their movies. (NOTED: Ridley Scott-Kingdom of Heaven, Cameron Crowe-Elizabethtown) And thank God that the Penny Lane role was not given to Kirsten Dunst who was rumored to play the role, instead, she played in (again) Elizabethtown 5 years later. Bloom + Dunst = EARLY DOOMSDAY. Smart choice, Crowe! (total joking)
Back to the movie, Almost Famous gives a well written script, solid casts (the great actings from Frances McDormand and Kate Hudson, both deserve the Oscar Nomination), good rock musics, and the 70's set works. What I concern about is Anna Paquin that she should given more role here. She's a great actress (an Oscar in her age of 11 by the movie The Piano), it's a great start of career for the young girl. But until now, she mostly only known as the girl named Rogue in the X-Men series. She should be a promising Hollywood talent.
The characters bond to each other, but of course Penny Lane, played by Hudson, got the center of attention. This is the best Hudson's performance in a movie. The character's chemistry with Russell Hammond, played by Crudup is inevitable. Both barely speaks, but I guess Crowe got a great sense of picking the great actors for the roles ONCE. (I guess you all know why I bolded, biggered, and underlined the word)
Overall Almost Famous is a movie with interesting characters about how life can turn into, possibilities and most of all, ALMOST FAMOUS MADE A SPOT IN 2000's BEST LIST.

You CANNOT make friends with the rock stars. That's what's important. If you're a rock journalist - first, you will never get paid much. But you will get free records from the record company. And they'll buy you drinks, you'll meet girls, they'll try to fly you places for free, offer you drugs... I know. It sounds great. But they are not your friends. These are people who want you to write sanctimonious stories about the genius of the rock stars, and they will ruin rock and roll and strangle everything we love about it.
-Philip Seymour Hoffman as Lester Bangs-

Hey Stace!
Listen, it's always my job to make people feel better. Here's my attempt...
Know what I did when my guinea pig (Snowball) died? I kept listening to 'Don't Worry, Be Happy'. Coz that's what's got to happen. Don't worry Stace...be happy! Put a smile on that face. I know deep down inside you have a smile waiting to pop out...come on...I hope you're smiling.
I read in the paper yesterday that an American couple were on the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. The American man asked the instructor "Is that the same moon we see in America??" ROFL! His wife then saw a train and said "Wow, they name trains in Australia. That one's named Gordon!" (Gordon is a train station in Sydney...so it was on there to tell people where it was going. Lol).
100% true story! Come on, you have to be smiling now!
If not, I'm burning American Pie: The Wedding rigghhhhhttt now! Have a look at my DVD list. I'll burn you a few more that you choose.
You're smiling! I know you are!
*hugs*
