Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)
by IainDefinitely on a par with the original movie, Del Toro scores another hit which is probably tied with Dark Knight for second place in the best summer movies category. Ron Perlman puts in another top notch performance as Hellboy, and Selma Blair is given more time as his girlfriend. The movie belongs to Luke Goss, as the evil prince, Doug Jones as the Merman and Seth MacFarlane as the voice of the German smoke-man.
Hey, you should DEFINITELY see this! This is by far one of the better movies of the summer.

Wild Orchid

Considering this was an early 90's movie.Some passionate hot,steamy sex scenes,God there is just something about young Mickey Rourke that just uhhhh...Anyway This was really good,Innocent girl meets rich ,older experienced guy and so it begins.Mickey is very mysterious in this one too,I think that's another thing I liked about it.Really Good overall.=)

Joy Ride (Road Kill)
by .:SexiVixxENPretty good flick,It reminds me alot of The Hitcher.Steve Zahn is such a punk older brother in this,I am used to him in comedy,not being scared to death.Paul Walker is nice to look at in anything,so is hid nice little bootay.Anyway LeeLee Rocks,It was good,semi-predictable but a pretty good suspense /thriller.=)

The X-Files: I Want to Believe (The X Files 2)
by LiliaYes, it's true, I was expecting this to be a better movie. The story is a little to much "normal" for an X-Files movie. Unlike the first movie, this one fails to keep non X-Files fans interested and motivated to watch it. But being a true fan myself, it is impossible to me to say this is bad. Sure it could have been better but Im still very happy with it. I have Mulder and Scully back!!! XD
Hey, you should really see this! Or not, it's your choice XD. If you are a fan of the show you will problably like it but if you aren't a fan you may not like it. So watch it at your own risk.

by .:SexiVixxENPretty col little Sci-Fi flick,felt almost like Children of Men for a minute but broke away from that,in that there was more action,Vin Diesel was really good in this,there was almost what could have been a steamy sex scene,they should have let that through,oh well.Anyway,action,futuristic plot,I really liked this one,I dont get why it's getting all the negative reviews.=)

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
by .:SexiVixxENUmmmm,yeah ok.Am I the only one that doesn't know what the hell this movie is about?Is it a comedy?and Adventure ?Or a drama?It didn't really get very funny,I don't know,I am just lost I expected Sooooo much more especially with the star studded cast on this film.I really feel this one was a waste of time,I struggled hard through the first hour and just decided to stick with it,it just never really did,it was boring and again,I dont get it.I see he found out about his son,his friend got eaten by the shark,or whatever, I dont know nevermind,I am not even gonna bother trying to figure this one out.Oh and by the way Who the Fuck leaves a 3 legged dog to fend for itself on an island,that's messed up people.=( Terrible!

30 Days of Night
by BannanROFL...despite I was apparently 'not interested' before...ending up watching this with vatti when I was feeling a bit under the weather. Now, another graphic novel turned movie...that I have no knowledge about at all.
Well, let's start from the beginning shall we then? To see a large expanse of white with nothing else in sight does bring about some kind of cold and misery to the atmosphere of the movie...then we see poor Ben Foster trudging along gradually through the harsh snow...now things get slightly interesting.
Next we learn that there will be absence of sun for the next 30 days, and everyone is preparing for a month long night or high-tailing it outta there. We meet Evan and Bill, the sheriff and deputy of the town who seem to be investigating a series of strange incidences just prior to the sun fully going down. Then we meet Stella, his wife who is leaving for Anchorage...but unfortunately does not reach the airport in time for her flight. However, this is the least of her problems.
Seriously though...more dog violence? Okay, we fuel the characters...but still those poor huskies! Regardless, it was smart to do off with them as they are one of the various means of transport which can give anyone a way out of there.
The remaining citizens find themselves fighting off legends and stories that everyone knows about...but these are NOT your typical vampires. There's no sensuality and intrigue or mystique...these are simply need-driven primitive animals who are violent and hungry as hell...and nothing, NOTHING will stop them from killing and eating every last resident in the area.
They kind of remind me of zombies in a sense, or even a pack of hungry wolves. The best things about this movie I would have to say is the atmosphere they build of that complete isolation from the outside world, the story isn't bad and there are even some pretty cool cinematography...not to mention the kickass make up! But, other than that the acting...and a majority of the cast can't really hold their own. Though the ring leader of these creatures is pretty badass...for all the few words he has to say.
All in all, I'd say it could be a b-horror...but it's not really that type of genre...now is it? If you're looking for something to watch that makes you think...then think twice before picking this one out.I'm not actually recommending...I'm kind of giving you an idea of what you're in for...if you choose to go this route. For me, I'd rather pick up an old eighties b-horror...but hey it's up to you lot! :D

Layer Cake
by .:SexiVixxENI really liked this one,reminded me of a heavy mix of quite a handle of other movies,Yet this was uniquely it's own.This is my first Daniel Craig film other than Casino Royale do it was nice to see him do something else even though still in the action category.Very cool,if you like the bumbling idiot lookout guy type thing and plans going all wrong,"accidental killing" stuff like that you will love this.For some reason I thought this was a Guy Ritchie film,It had him written all over it, just missing my man Jason Statham (sniff) lol!

by .:SexiVixxENThis was a way out there different kinda flick for me,lol I know I am going to have to watch this one again.Pathetic I know, Sorry I was planning on just watching a movie and being entertained I didn't know I was going to have to like pay serious attention.I love Joseph Gordon,so for him I will watch this again,when I am in a better frame of mind.Definitely interesting and keeps you engaged you want to find out more and the Why? =)

An American Crime
by .:SexiVixxENOhhhh, boy Ok as a mother you WILL have a very hard time watching this.It's like basically your worse nightmare come true.I would have never left my kids with a perfect stranger to begin with,but it was a different time then,People were more trusting and Gertrude went to church and to the outsiders put off the "Oh poor me,I am broke,and I have too many kids,but I go to church and I am a good person"BULLSHIT mask!This movie is disturbing in ways that enrage me as a mother,that any woman could allow this to go on in her own home,and then let the whole dam neighborhood kids come in and beat the crap out of her,Oh hell no!This chick was totally off her rocker she should have never had custody of ANY of her children ever.Ellen Page is truly a remarkable actress for her age,and I think she should have been nominated for an Oscar for This movie a hell of a lot more than Juno.She was Incredible in this and that is an understatement.The fact that this is a true story will haunt me for a very long time.See it,Just be warned.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
by .:SexiVixxENThis was ok,I had heard so many mixed reviews I wasn't what too sure to expect.Anyway,It has some funny moments,but all in all,Predictable,kinda short and I did miss Rachel Weisz much more than I thought I would.The were some really cool special effects then a few really chesey ones,I would wait for DVD on this one,seriously =)

Cloverfield
by AustinOK....No big words,this movie is "a Must-See",whether you're a Horror fan or monster fan,Shaky camera lover or You just wanted to see a Movie with a different taste.
The Movie opens with some TV stuffs & some Government property approvals like it had been viewed by some Authorities.Then it continues the whole movie with a hand-held video footage,via from the view of a group of New Yorkers.
Even it's screen ratio is a ratio that said a goodbye to Hollywood Movies a long time ago.& it does worked out beautifully.
So what is the monster?,a Whale?,an Old schooled Godzilla?,A video game based creature?No....this one is invented by J.J Abrams & his team.Let me call it the cloverfield monster as it is still unnamed.The monster is super big,angry,ruthless,loud,strong & can say pretty fast for his size.It's hands are more like the extra legs which are extending from its body,plus the super big mouth with gruesome teeth.It also drops lots of spider-like mini creatures which are also fast & furious.Their bites can even cause some unknown infections,which the story didn't show very much.
Unlike "The Blair Witch Project",this movie is shown exactly from a single view.My ears were bleeding in the scenes like the soldiers shooting down the Monster in the middle of the streets.Some dudes even left the cinema hall because of those super shaky cameras.Unfortunately,this is kind of monster movie I have been waiting for years,So it was kinda thrill ride for me."The Fake Monster Documentary" I must say.
This movie is not only about a monster attacking NYC,it also includes a tragic Love story between Rob Hawkins & Beth McIntyre,two of the main characters.They uses some cut-offs & flashbacks,which looks stylish & beautiful.They ended up under the bridge,screaming "I Love You" for a couple times.The story seems quite fast after the death scene of Hud,the main camera holder of the Movie.They must extend about 15 or 20 minutes more to give us the maximum satisfaction.
Extra Props must be given to the End Credits.They are the best I've seen since last year's Michael Clayton.A bass tone become louder & louder & then mixed with lots of string instruments.That music theme is the one & the only music in this movie & it's quite thrilling.So....there you go Director Matt Reeves,a big boost for you.Cloverfield madness was no more on the internet, but it is nevertheless... one of the Best Monster Movies ever made.
