wasnt aware of the story behind it as i havent seen the original but johnny depp is a legend so wanted to watch it wasnt his best movie but he took a risk with the singing and he did pull it off helena bonahm carter ace like normal the only thing that let it down was the ending thought they should of made more about the father/daughter thing because the ending didnt say anything else about the boy and his daughter overall it was really good but ive seen better from johnny

ive been wanting to see this movie for ages and now im glad i did it was ace i think there will be a sequel to it plus a great cast gerard butler mmmmm u cant beat him jodie foster is great and abigail breslin is a star...a must see for anyone who has a good imagination
