Oskar is an introvert twelve year old boy, who has problems in school with some of his classmates. One day a girl at his age moves in next door and he falls in love with her. Well she is not exactly a... girl...

    **********REVIEW**********

I honestly don't know how to rate this movie... I heard so many great things about this, so I guess it was a fact that I would be a little dissapointed (the expectations were big.) Besides that it was a good movie indeed... Especially if you are a fan of movies with vampires (yes lol the little girl is a vampire). I liked the fact that some different views about vampires were presented (***SPOILER***SPOILER***SPOILER***DON'T READ THAT ONE IF U HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE*** For example Eli couldn't enter the room unless someone invites her in, so I guess it makes sense why they named the movie "let the right one in"!Cool lol!)
    U CAN CONTINUE READING lol
The soundtrack was good enough. The performances were fantastic (of course Kare Hedebrant as Oskar and Lina Leandersson as Eli stand out). The atmosphere was great. Yup, overall seems this movie works well.
PS. It's not a scary movie, but there are some cool and bloody vampire scenes ;D

    by Anna
What on earth was that?? Really really NOT scary. Who got scared with this movie!?!? Why does everyone compare this with the Blair Witch project?? Nothing even close to "The blair witch project", which is by the way INDEED SCARY and the best film presented as a documentary pieced together from amateur footage. Paranormal activity is the new Blair witch project? Yeah right! Who dreamed of that? (the fact that I talk more about the Blair witch project than Paranormal activity on a review which is supposed to be about Paranormal activity in the first place does convince you that this movie was stupid and without any reason to exist?)
Ok my opinion(which I think I made pretty clear lol); Paranormal activity was boring, slow and I repeat NOT scary at all (unless this is the first thriller you watch, then I accept it). What a crap...

    Eraserhead Eraserhead
    by Creep
DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE, unless you're a BIG David Lynch fan. For those who remember your dreams this movie will be a frightening experience of the most potent psychedelic features in the darkest corners of your mind. For those with no recollection of your dreams this movie is a short reminder of what causes the cold sweats, setting your mind into a state of depressive consciousness. For those looking for answers, or reasoning behind your dreams, than the answer may lie here. Eraserhead is an emotionally frightening nightmare to say the least. It's a dream simply recorded on film, just as bleak and cold as any nightmare you may really have. It's a shattering, lonely, and sometimes repulsive exercise for our subconscious thinking. Before the creation of Eraserhead, David Lynch had a dream. This is what his dream was.

I guess it's safe to say we all share at least one thing in common. If not for our personality, religion, or upbringing...than what about our dreams?

Any interpretation of this film is correct. It relies on our own personal perceivability. What do our inner demons tell us? Is there life in fantasy, and does it really matter? Are there living, breating people, with a pulse and a heartbeat in our dream state? And when we wake up does someone, like our character Eraserhead, impatiently wait for us to return?

This movie is weird, yes. But what dreams aren't? Believe what you will, and make sense of what you want. Eraserhead is a movie in a cold, and scary world. A dimension of improbable madness. A parallel universe of distortion and paranoia...but it's a world we might all share.

It's a morbid, strangely beautiful, landscape of horror. It has the texture of death itself, but yet it's still very much alive. It's a work of pure genius.

    Dream while awake. Watch Eraserhead!

    by Anna
    Genre; Science fiction

Cast; Sam Rockwell, Sam Rockwell, Kevin Spacey

In case you are bored to check out flixster's page about "Moon" here is the summary; Astronaut Sam Bell has a quintessentially personal encounter toward the end of his three-year stint on the Moon, where he, working alongside his computer, GERTY, sends back to Earth parcels of a resource that has helped diiminish our planet's power problems.

One great performance by Sam Rockwell... and... yeah that's all I guess...
In my reviews, all I really do is writing about the feeling the movie gave me and honestly this time I got dissapointed... Where is the extraordinairy plot?! Where is the suspense and the mystery the trailer gave me the idea I will experience? In conclusion, it's a decent movie, you are not gonna get bored or something like that, but you may get dissapointed, if u expect too much(so I think my review will do some good lol since I prepair u for this)

I am afraid of romantic comedies like some people are afraid of horror movies... That's why it took me so long to decide to watch "The ugly truth". But I am a human too and I read some nice reviews about this one so I thought "yeah why not let's try". I was sure that it isn't anything special....and of course I was right.
Ok I admit there are some funny moments (but not that you will laugh your ass out). The chemistry between Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler is good and that's all... Another predictable romantic comedy which gets kinda boring in the middle... Yeah ok indeed it says the truth about men, but it's not something we didn't already know (sorry guys...I mean the truth about most of u).

Hey, don't really miss this movie!

It's a documentary movie that capturing the moment while Michael practicing for his last-but-never-happened concert in London...

    by Sanjaya
Even I'm not Michael Jackson's fans, but I do appreciate his work and of course I appreciate him by watching this movie... And I must say that this movie is Magnificent..!!! I can't imagine how hard Michael practice for his last-but-never-happened concert... He really wants to be involved in every segment, from choosing the backstage dancer, setting the right tune, and making the videos... And the other thing that amazed me is the camera video used to take this movie, even it is for Michael's private collection but the picture was very clear... It is like it was planned to be released on a movie... And for Michael's himself, his dance and his voice leaves me petrified on my seat while watching this movie... Really amazing... I just don't have another higher praise for him... The weak point of this movie is just this movie only a set of Michael Jackson's song that want to be performed in his last-but-never-happened concert, so people may be bored while watching it... And I do feel it when it comes to the song 'Beat It'... But overall, it's really worth to watch... A documentary movie that gave us memory of the King Of Pop, and of course a movie to show our appreciation to him... Goodbye Michael, may you rest well in Heaven... God Bless U...

musical comedy starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Susan Sarandon and Idina Menzel. directed by Kevin Lima.

Giselle (Adams) lives in the beautiful fairytale land of Andalasia, where animals talk and everyone sings. but before Giselle is able to receive her Happily Ever After with the handsome Prince Edward (Marsden), she is pushed into a magic portal by an old hag, who is actually Prince Edward's mother, Queen Narissa, in disguise (Sarandon). after Giselle arrives on the other side and she finds herself in the not-so-fairytale setting of New York City, she meets divorce lawyer, Robert Philip (Dempsey), whose job has made him somewhat cynical about life and love. soon, both Giselle and Robert start to change the other one's perspective on Happily Ever After.

Amy Adams delivers one of my favorite performances of hers to date, making Giselle one of my favorite characters on film. she is funny, sweet, charming and just all-around lovable. the rest of the cast also deliver great performances, including the uber handsome and oh-so dreamy Patrick Dempsey.

to say that I love this movie is an understatement. comedy, singing, cheesy romance... so good! ♥

    Orphan Orphan
    by Creep
The horror genre is really at it's rise again. Let's just hope it stays this way and grow as it did in the mid 90's, before it fell apart partially due to that PG-13 crap that was help started by The Sixth Sense. Starting from a little more than a year ago, horror's making a comeback in a major way, simply for the fact that it's sticking to it's traditional rules again. And for the sayers who complain consistently saying that "you don't need "gore" to be scary", well, I couldn't agree with you more. No argument there, this debate is tossed out the window. Shit, you don't even need a drop of blood to be scary. But come on people! This is one subject I'll debate with you till the day I die. And "Orphan" being a great example, along with many other great horror films, one good mention being "The Shining", we need "R" ratings for this type of genre, period. In order to be scared you need to be convinced first, and how so if no one such as uses the "F" word one single time. No realism in the dialogue? Not even a "fuck" or "shit" word? Hell, I feel safe now! No boundaries can be pushed to extremes, not even the hope of so, knowing it's already a PG-13 horror film. And because of no fearing "realism", ALL worries to the side...Get what I'm saying? This is real life people. And life is scary. To make a horror film scary, or even slightly intense, it needs to be "real" as well.

"It's one of the most disgusting developments in the last few years; the whole notion of a PG-13 horror movie to me is a contradiction in terms. It's like having a XXX Disney picture. It doesn't work. To me, you don't have to throw blood around in every scene, but there has to be a sense, and this is not my quote, it's Wes Craven's quote. Wes says that, When you go into a horror movie, you need to feel that you're in the hands of a madman. Now what madman makes a PG-13 picture, right? Your horror-movie madman doesn't neaten up all the edges and make it all nice for mommy. They [studios] do it because they want to bring in younger audiences and make more money. But they don't make better movies."
    - Clive Barker

Back to the Orphan. What a fantastic horror film this was! The tension never let's up, and the scenes keep getting better and better, almost like having 25 short, separate, tense horror films. What I love about Jaume Collet-Serra, director of the very much underrated "House of Wax", is he knows how to build up his characters, so much, that we pertain to a level of understating so strong of he or she's underlying emotions. Think about it. It took about 45 minutes for House of Wax to start unraveling it's wrath of terror. And why? Because Jaume Collet-Serra lets us study his characters first, and equants them to us on a certain level where we can make the right judgment when their emotions matter most. Same here with the Orphan. And that's what I call "good filmaking" my friends. Character development first...the obsticals later.

Orphan is smart, witty, intense, and occasionally funny. A horror movie that's done right! We're even treated with a great, original twist in the end, one you probably won't see coming. It's a fun thrill ride, and Esther, flawlessly and strongly performed by the young, and undenyingly talented Isabelle Fuhrman, will probably go down as one of the most psychopathic, crazy bithes in horror movie history. I highly recommend the Orphan!

comedy starring Seth Rogen , Michael Pena, Ray Liotta and Anna Faris. written and directed by Jody Hill.

the film follows the misadventures of Ronnie Barnhardt (Rogen), the head of security at a shopping mall, as he tries to stop a bandit flasher that has been terrorizing customers.

I guess I have been spoiled with previous Rogen gems 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, Pineapple Express and of course the uber awesome Freaks and Geeks, because I just wasn't feeling this one. not that the blame lies solely on Rogen's shoulders. Faris and Pena were also lacking in this one. maybe it was the fact that there wasn't much of a script to go with. almost seemed like it was trying to force the funny and sadly, it failed.

a few very funny moments trickled throughout a less than perfect film... a film which has far too much bouncy testis! *shudders*

Interesting...very interesting I have to say... Very satisfying performances from every single member of the cast which kinda turned this one to a drama rather than a horror movie (not that I have a problem with horror movies, I WANTED ZOMBIES!! lol). So although it's another "a virus will kill us all, run to save your life!!" movie, it's different because it emphasizes to the feelings of the heroes. It is a little slow, but don't worry I insure you that you won't get bored (you won't even notice it lol). The good atmosphere will make u feel that you are part of the movie, that may cause u some chills (or it was just the stupid air-conditioner of the cinema- why do they use "cold wind" at winter!?
