About Me
I love watching (good) movies and listening to good old rock n' roll like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Chuck Berry, Patti Smith, Led Zeppelin, Cream etc. I get kicks when I do some sports: running, skiing or anything fast and sweatty. I also would not skip a good book or artist/band biographies. My favourite books are Papillon by Hénri Charriere, Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift, Sinuhe the Egyptian by Mika Waltari, Harry Potters, Lord of the Rings and many books by Stephen King. I have an enormous hunger of knowledge.

I really appreciate, if users use their own pic in a profile. I think it really has an effect to conception which person gives about themselves.

My corner of girl-talk:
Young Robert DeNiro is perfect! I just guess it would take a lifetime to find someone as great characteristics and looks like him. I'm so obsessed about his films. And don't get me wrong - that is just my dream man, I do like other kinds of boys too! I got to get a man with whom I can discuss about MUSIC and more.

Not so great I first thought. The Chase-scene altough was wonderful and to me it felt like after that the film got interesting.
Elizabeth Elizabeth R 4.0 Stars
Though this film has been made taking many liberties with history it was very entertaining. I loved all the costumes were very well down. It catched the spirit of the era.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid PG 4.0 Stars
Literally the law got too close! Hell of a couple, I must say.
Vertigo Vertigo PG 5.0 Stars
I thought Hitchcock's moves would have been copied million times so far but still he managed to surprise me! What a movie! I think if the ending was different this film would have been so different. It is the wow-factor.
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford R 3.5 Stars
Good, though I couldn't hate more Casey Affleck's character! So irritating.
La Haine (Hate) La Haine (Hate) R 4.5 Stars
Watch it closely. The story is not just a regular shit of the unprivileged live. This one teaches you. After all, every trying-to-be badass is a human being struggling between choices.

    WALL-E WALL-E
    5.0 Stars by Fabio
WALL-E, Pixar's latest film, is about a robot named WALL-E who is the only thing left on earth with some sort of emotion. He meets another robot named EVE, and the trip begins.
It's hard to describe in words how incredible I personally find this film.
    The animation looks real.
The story is brilliant and I don't call this a child's film at all because it has also adult material, like some homages to other films.
This is a piece of art,is magic!

The Big Apple is plenty of fun

    Stab a priest
    With a fork
And you'll spend your vacation in New York

    Rob a bank
    Take a truck
You can get here by stealing a buck

    This is bliss
    It's a lark
Buddy, everyone's coming to New York!

    No more Yankees
Strike the word from your ears
    Spin the roulette
There's no more opera at the Met

    This is hell
    This is fate
But now this is your world and it's great

    So rejoice
    Pop a cork

"Kate & Leopold" is not a top quality film, but has some seriously funny and entertaining moments.
The best part of this movie by far is Hugh Jackman.

Enjoyable if predictable tale of two men linked forever to the past. "Falls" short in the end.
If you are a big fan of either costar you will probably enjoy this one.

Heroism to Melville isn't the pretty picture Hollywood gives us in its' sanitized war films. This is a grim film where those pursuing a noble cause don't have the opportunity to even enjoy it as they must be prepared for the possible worst.

Melville's filmmaking style is slow and deliberate giving the viewer an anti-heroic account of the early days of French resistance to the Nazi Occupation which is both restrained and terrifyingly tense.

Fatal flaw, a scary movie that isn't scary. A more apt title would be "Gone With the Mist". Thumbs down.
Hey, you should really avoid this! Couldn't stand the stereotypical bible thumping character played by Marcia Gay Harden, although I do enjoy her work. Didn't like the ending either. Big thumbs down!

    Spider Spider
    4.0 Stars by El Hombre
Spider is an incredibly subdued and well-paced drama of psychological horror and detached self-examination. The interesting thing about Spider is the uncertainty of the entire picture. From the opening, it's clear that Cronenberg knows exactly the kind of movie he wants to make, and does so effectively. For all Cronenberg's steadiness, the audience has much less an idea what's going on than Spider Cleg does. Is Cleg insane at all?

Either way, Spider is an expressionist film and doesn't try to explain by labeling this or that as "paranoid schizophrenia" which detaches the viewer from the main character, but instead may have you relate to him and question how accurately you remember your childhood.
