  Last Holiday

  What if you only have three weeks to live? would you spend it trying to cling for life, or would you spend it on one last, bloody awesome holiday?
  
  This is what happened to Georgia Byrd, who was diagnosed to have a terminal brain tumor. Shy and life loving, this young woman who has never spend one holiday for herself, suddenly found her life so depressing and tucked inside a box. So what would she do with her last three weeks of life? Spend it on hotel Pupp; skiing, wearing fabulous dresses, spending time on spas, jumping walls, gambling in casinos and meeting her favorite chef. Although she thought she has done what she had never thought of doing, there is one thing left that she has not: tell the man he loves how she really felt for him.
  
  Queen Latifah is funny, but not HA-HA-HA PIE IN THE FACE funny. More like inspiring funny. I've always been a fan of Latifah, whether in her dramatic or comedic roles. I dont mind that she's fat. She's cute, like princess Fiona in Shrek (LOL).
  LL cool J is good, but there are some scenes that he went a bit stale. Like in the airplane scene, he's overreacting about having his fear of riding airplanes. Even for first time plane passengers, you don't get jeepers as he did. Well, i think it's his attempt at being funny. But his and Latifah's team-up is good. One is dead serious, the other dead funny.
  
  But it's the story that you should catch. The message is true, you can't spend your life holed up in a box forever. You have to see the world, because we only got one life to live and it's not worth that less to worry about money, jobs or acceptance. Live Life, I always say, and the movie's message has it all. Damn, what could one holiday cost if it means being happy, eh?

  Hey guys, I am back. For those whom I have not sent a message before I left, I went for a vacation to my dad's place in Australia. Well, not exactly a vacation, since a vacation is more like racing in Singapore or spending hot baths in hotels in Paris (thing i have not done yet, hehe). It was more like a homecoming, but it's the thought that counts, after all, I got to spend time with my dad and my old mates.
  
  We watched a lot of girly movies when I was at Brisbane and Last Holiday is one of the best that I watched. The story, fantastic, the actors great! Queen Latifah reminds me of princes Fiona minus the green skin. But the message is great! Worrying about surviving everyday life is not as important as loving life itself. Like Georgia Byrd in the movie, I also have this "100 THINGS TO DO BEFORE i DIE". it contains the thing I want to do before the gates of heaven (or hell) opens up for me, hehe. I started the book when I was 22 and so far I had 33 down and 67 more to go. I cannot share them all to you since some of them are too personal or too ridiculous, but I really wanted to have them all done, like reaching Mt. Everest summit, or taking my first real kiss on top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (sigh)…
  
  Also, the movie taught me one thing: That you do not have forever to wait for something you wanted done. You have to love life, go out to the world and enjoy it, be crazy sometimes and tell the people you love how you feels about them. After all, tomorrow might not come. Life is too short to wait for the perfect time. There is this one person that I kept thinking of, I do not know what I really wants but this person makes me feel, I don’t know, comfortable.
  
  It’s a little bit funny, this feeling inside, but I am someone who cannot easily hide his feelings, so I hope this person will not mind if I put down in words, how wonderful life is now this person is in the world. (hehe, that’s from Moulin Rouge, damn! I’m a movie ner

  Bee Movie

  all right, I am really pissed.
  
  I bought a DVD copy for this movie, thinking it's really funny, being a Jerry Seinfeld product and all, plus, Renee Zemwegger is in it. But I got really disappointed when I watched it. L-A-M-E! First of all, a romance movie between a bee and a human is not good. Secondly, the story is not too clear. You have one bee wanting to be free from the boredom of a bee's life, then that bee became a lawyer and sues every honey eating human. HUH? ummm.... I think I dropped my brain so this review stops right here, period.

  I am a Jerry Seinfeld fan, I have every copy of his Seinfeld show. And I have a huge crush on Renee Zelwegger. But after watching this movie, my fan stars, and my crush hearts, dropped 10 percent. i got really pissed, what a lame movie, and I mean LAMEEEE!. The story is thrash, the voicing is thrash, everything is thrash. i can understand it if it's a insect-human movie but the insects don't talk to humans, but a bee dating a girl? (Not that I'm jealous) Bees don't date humans, period. AW! I hate this movie, and the video store has a No Return No Exchange policy.
  
  i want to punch somebody! Alright, everyone with a letter B, or E on their names, line up!

  Quantum of Solace

  Okay, who thought about putting Daniel Craig in his second Bond film?
  
  I used to be a Bond fan, and I've watched every Bond film that I can find. But when Craig was made the new Bond, my taste for the films just got yucked. I mean, look at the guy. sure he's buffy, but he's ugly, UGLEE! He looks like a kid who's candy has been taken. Plus there has never been a blonde Bond. Even Rowan Atkinson in Johnny English and Mike Myers in Austin powers are not blonde. Sorry for the blonde fans but as long as Craig is still the Bond, the series is one fan less..

  When Casino Royale was made, I was excited at first. But when I saw that it was Daniel Craig who played the new Bond, I was like WTF?
  
  The new Bond films lacked the finnese that is a trademark of every Bond films. James Bond don't bleed, James Bond doesn't get his suit dirtied. James Bond is not supposed to be ugly! Well, yeah, the gorgeous leading ladies are still there but I just don't like Daniel Craig. He is supposed to be thrashing expensive cars and jumping helicopters in his expensive Italian suits while talking to his diamond studded phone. But Daniel Craig's is dirty, very neanderthal, and too basic. Duh? James Bond is the coolest agent, supposedly, instead in his new movies, he got his nuts crunched and he uses military guns. Where's the cool inventors?
  
  Trivia: The new James Bond Lady whats-her-face, used to be polydactylus. meaning she's got an extra finger for each hand before she got them removed at aged 10.

  Brokedown Palace

  Alice Marano and Darlene Davis are teenagers fresh from highschool. Despite their differences, as Alice is seen as a poor man's brat while Darlene is the role model type of girl, they are bestfriends and they swore to be there for each other no matter what. Before they would separate ways as Darlene will be going to college and Alice, well, will just be somebody, they thought to spend their summer with a bang. They told everyone they were going to hawaii, but they decided to go to Thailand instead. After all, if this would be their last adventure, why not spend it at the land of the free. But they did not find freedom in Thailand, instead they were framed to have smmugled large quantities of heroine. Fearing that they might spend their entire life in prison, they sought the help of Yanky Hank (Pullman, good acting). But they know, to gain freedom, one of them must sacrifice hers.
  
  Very powerful, it's a story of friendship, not just as drinking buddies (or in case of girl, shopping accomplices) but true friendship, one which show that there is ended such a thing as platonic love. Danes is very convincing as the evil of the two, and Beckinsale also portrays a good Miss-Goody-Goody-Twoe-Shoes, but in some scenes, kate just let the character float away by too much kindness (remember man is naturally evil). And Bill Pullman, haha, he looks like he doesnt have enough teeth to support his lips LOL. But really, it's great.
  
  Plus the soundtrack is wonderful. very asian but mysterious sounding. My favorite scene is when Darlene was set free and she was walking past the gate, Alice, who was still in prison, chased after her to say goodbye, but the gaurd wouldn't let her, so she just waved goodbye to Darlene who was alraedy getting on a taxi. Touching (sob)! Also when Darlene was losing hope and she got sick, so Alice hugged her even if Darlene blames her for all their misfortunes.
  
  TRIVIA: This movie was supposed to be shot in the Philippines, but Claire Danes got banned for entrance to the country BY LAW, because she said, referring to the Philippines IN FRONT OF THE GOVERNMENT DIGNITARIES:
  
  "damn, this country smells like cockroach!"

  Dawn of the Dead

  there is an original version for this movie, but I like this one better. We watched this after our halloween party last friday. Well, actually I wasn't able to finish the movie but they told me the ending (bugger). They told me I snored midway through as if i owned the house SUPER LOL. But from the scenes that I remembered, they were really scream inducing.
  
  Like in the first Really Really Scary Creepy Really Scary (I said that twice to emphasize my point) scene when the lead actress' husband was bitten by that kid with no lips, and the husband came back to life, and the actress was just looking at him, we were all yelling: RUN BITCH! HE'S DEAD CAN'T YOU SEE! (in bisaya of course). And when the zombie husband started to chase her into the bathroom, all them girls were screaming and we were screaming I TOLD YOU, YOU DUMB BITCH! and I remembered having my hair tugged by someone (I was sitting on the floor).
  
  OR it could only be the beer talking. LOL
  
  Anyways, it's really very scary, and the zombies are acting like bloody olympic athletes, not unlike some other zombie movies where the creepers would just limp away, allowing the (lame) screaming actress to escape. In this movie, they were RUNNING! wohoo.
  
  I borrowwed the dvd but I can't get myself to watch the entire movie. That's probably becasue i've alraedy been told what the ending is. Either it's Karma (for spoiling the reviews by telling what happened in the end) or I'm just feeling lazy, maybe sometime tommorow night, I'll be able to watch it all and make a full review.
  
  RARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

  This is a love story, not in the sense between a man and a woman, but more about a family who grows to love each other. They don?t tell stories like this anymore. It?s a drama but the impact is like amazing, Susan Sarandon?s role as a mother who wants to save his diseased son is very touching. You can really feel the love between the parents and the son. It makes me think that your parents would give up even their lives just to protect you. But sometimes, we children, do not see that sacrifice. All we see are what we want to see, but deep in their actions or between their words, no matter how harsh they can be sometimes, there?s always love. After all, no parent can really someone connected to them by flesh and blood. Man, I want to cry

  This is a romantic comedy back when Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman don?t have that much wrinkles, hehe. Really, it?s about this girl who fantasizes about a man whom she sees everyday, as she is a train station attendant and he a regular commuter. One day, fate struck when the man was mugged by some junkies, and the girl (Sandra Bullock) came to his rescue. The guy temporarily lost his memory as a result of the accident, and everyone thought, especially the man?s family, that Sandra is his fiancé, which was what she really wants. However, there is this brother (Bill Pullman) who fell in love with Sandra. But Bill is the complete opposite of Sandra?s dream guy, although equally as handsome. Along the way, Sandra fell in love with Bill but she can?t just tell Bill what she feels for she is supposed to be Bill?s brother?s fiancé. Which will she choose, her dreams which is coming true OR her heart? Watch the movie and find out?

  Funny and romantic, reminds me when I first fell in love and I can't say how I feel to my girl. Bullock is a natural entertainer (funnee) and Pullman is very romantic in a boy next door type of way. The plot is very good, too. Not in a rushed manner (like some movies where they just do one date then have sex right after, blah!) nor in a bore-me –to-death SAY I LOVE YOU ALREADY! way.
  
  I'm dating but I admit I dream about someone else. But this person is too far as to make my ridiculous(h) dream come true and we haven't even met in person. I haven’t even seen this person's real face LOL. But when you feel love, you don’t need a voice, or a face. Love is like the wind that travels endlessly until it touches the other person’s heart. Hah! Hey, dreams come free, y'know!
