SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate films that feature these oh so smart animals. I actually suffered through this movie and I am pissed that 2 hours of my life was wasted on this crap!!!

As clever as the monkey family are, how can an orang utan create so much havoc, hysterical and good film.

A cute story for a child- not so much an adult. Still brings back good memories as a child watching it.

Why do I like this movie so much? Well, it's a childhood favorite, it features a really cool monkey, it's somewhat funny, and is a great family movie. That's why.

A cute small orangutan makes me laugh heaps while befriends a mischievous teen at the four-star hotel they are plundering, and turns a huge formal ball into chaos.

I loved this film when I was a child. I had a thing about monkeys. The plot isn't great and neither is the acting. Possibly one of Rupert Everett's worst films. But still, it's a really good childs film.

Hilarious chimpanzee-derived antics in a massive hotel. Dunston is a chimp. He 'checks in'. The fact that, given the run of a massive hotel, a young chimpanzee will usually act like a human child - but without regard for any consequence whatsoever - is the basis of this film's humour. Rupert Everett is as dapper as you'd expect until he gets his own, meanwhile the rest of the cast have HUGE fun.

Pretty much the standard-bearer of the always rare but overly obnoxious "monkey-doing-people-things" genre.
You know the producers knew that monkey hijinks pretty much overshadow any poor qualities in the film. Also, it acutely limits the film to a 3-star-maximum, in the same way that one must limit "Weekend At Bernies." Monkeys and Dead People are comedies two great equalizers.

Waste of TIME!! Very Weak movie, DO NOT WATCH, if you do end up watching it, side effects may include: Suicide, murder ramapages, road ramapage, any kinds of ways of harming yourself, and many others...

Dunstan Checks In is a slightly humourous buddy/slapstick movie, with some entertaining support characters and interesting dilemmas throughout, but can't really retain the interest for more than a few minutes. Jason Alexander does okay here, but his character in Dunstan isn't nearly as memorable as his George from Seinfeld. this movie is best for children aged 9 and down, because toddlers will adore the monkey and 9 year olds will enjoy the child-friendly slapstick comedy.

The only good excuse for Dunaway to even be in this piece of crap was she found herself on the wrong set. This movie stunk

Ape-comedy never seems to grow old does it? Throwing a monkey into any given children's film never fails to satisfy.

Socrates once philosophised that 'Everything is funnier with monkeys'. Well he certainly did in the dream I had last night. But that's not important right now, the rule has been broken. This dreadful 90s kiddie flick didn't so much cross the line, as fling its poo at it and openly masturbate in front of your Granny.

I really can't get into the idea of these stupid animals doing people things. Where do all these kids get these monkey, dog, elephant, kangaroo etc best friends from!?!? Sigh.. I just don't find them entertaining particularly the monkey ones because it is almost like they couldn't be bothered to pay an actor to do the same things!
