I freakin love this movie. Those killer puppets just have this nostalgia to them. Right now I got four off of full moon's site for their Holiday sale. I'll be ready for AOE!

The best Puppet Master film in the series. Watch this one first, if you don't like it then don't bother with any of the other movies.

the puppets scared the hell out of me when i was a kid...so much that i had to wait until my early 20s to find out how hilarious they were.

The original and best. The one that started it all.

Starts off hilarious and very interesting, but lacks any variety whatsoever and you eventually just get tired of seeing killer puppets slaughtering people, as surprising as that may sound.

i dont know for u, but if u like puppets play with real ones!!! -

Pretty fuckin stupid. Its really just about five dolls who kill people and a guy who is the master of them all, hence: Puppet master. There was lots of gore and some gross parts, but even that wasn't enough to blanket this terrible concept that shouldn't have even passed through the script reading.

It actually looks like a soft porn... without sex...and almost without horror. Only worth for the last quarter. Go for "Dolls" "Demonic Toys, or "Child's Play" instead :-)

I forgot how unintentionally funny the acting is in this movie. Highly enjoyable even if there's not enough puppet screen time but at least Barbara Crampton gets dirty.

One of my favorite classics, note: got pretty stupid after the first one.

wow i have just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a freaky movie 2 watch...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that the director of this Mystery & Suspense, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Drama, Horror movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie because the director keeps you on the edge's of your seats throughout this movie....this may be the best 1 out of them all but imn not sure as ive only seen the 1st 2 movies of this...this has got a good story throughout n the dolls are freaky but they re really awsome

The dolls were a bit creepy, me not being a killer doll lover, but it was ok. My late hubby loved the lead puppet Blade so much and had to talk me into watching this movie a few years back. The story was ok, and the dolls were cool.

After Dolls, I had to get that bad killer doll movie taste out of my mouth so I watched this. Man, I forgot how cool the puppets are in this thing, and that scene with the doll vomiting leeches is about the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. Awesome 80's flick and a great soundtrack.

One of the strangest premises for a horror film I've seen, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

remenber seeing this mive when i was a kid and i love it and
The first of what was to be many Puppet Master films! Full Moon Entertainment provided the b-movie community with a terrific slew of movies in this series. Tasteful stop motion combined with moderate gore and a little bit of sex make for a solid bad movie, unfortunately it does drag along at times. Toulon creates the puppets but is forced to commit suicide when Nazi agents close in on his hotel room. Years later a group of psychics answer a telepathic communication from Neil Gallagher only to find he was dead when they received his summons. Soon the puppets, controlled by Neill - who has injected himself with the same formula which gives them life, are slaughtering everyone! A very odd film at times, including Dana walking around with a stuffed dog (petting and talking to it of course) which comes to life in the end. I really like the puppets... ...too bad they ran out of people to kill
and the charactors were
Andre Toulon - Creator of the animated puppets, shoots himself in the head.
Alex Whittaker - Psychic investigator, receives his insights through dreaming.
Dana Hadley - Redheaded witch, she's constantly waving a feather or incense at something, plus she talks to a stuffed dog. Blade cuts her throat.
Neil Gallagher - An evil and selfish man who has found the Puppet Master's secret. The puppets do him in.
Megan - Neil's wife, she takes a rather large amount of ribbing on his part.
Frank and Charissa - Two other psychics who can "feel" what occured somewhere, they are constantly bumping uglies. She is drilled by Tunneler and Leech Woman gets him.
Teresa - Annoying housekeeper, Pinhead takes care of her early on thank goodness.
The Puppets - Brought to life by Toulon they are: Blade, Jester, Leech Woman, Pin Head, and Tunneler.
and i thought my favorite charactor was the doll with the white hair but i think hes name was blake but i dont remenber because i saw it when i was little and i love thie movie
Blade,Pinhead,Tunneler,
Jester and Leechwoman have all come to stay at the Bodega Inn. Very entertaining as well as for the highly astonishing music that it is known for. My very first horror movie that I saw, and still to this day stands out among alot of them. Which says alot since I love horror. Great special effects, loved Blade the most. Known as the ringleader for the little terrors. A great cast, and a nice twist ending. Also, if you enjoy this film, check out all the other sequels it has. Have all of them on DVD. What a great set they are, by the end of the series, you would be wishing you had your very own cool puppet to be yours. Also, the very first Fullmoon horror film, and continued on the many other wierd and creepy films that we have grown to love cherish and watch again and again. These guys would be great in a haunted house, they are so small and devilish. Also, lots of people would be creeped out by them, and it would be a original idea.

I remember seeing this film as a kid and thought it was great. (as a kid, I has stupid) It's an okay idea but it's just poorly shot and poorly told. The puppet animation was alright but I like that 'clash of the titans' look.

Classic horror with puppets on a killer spree.

Such awesome potential and yet it never really delivers. There are some classy moments - leech woman is freaky as hell - and some of the stop-motion is pretty cool, but the puppets motives and characters are not explored enough and by the end it's impossible to tell whether they're evil or just vigilantes of a sort. Great score though.
