| Synopsis: | After surviving a massacre in Malmedy, a location behind the German army in Europe, four American soldiers with only one weapon rescue the British pilot Oberon Winley (Kirby Heyborn) in a tree and they move together, trying to reach the allied forces and save a great number of allied soldiers from a German attack with the information got by Winley in his flight. While marching, each soldier discloses inner secrets to the rest of the group. |

August 10, 2008the storyline and themes protrayed in this movie are enough for me to recommend it for anyone to rent. not as much killing as most WWII movies but the action was still quite suspensful and full of very cool scenes. what the men went through in the movie was very tough and must have been very hard. it was sad to see some of the main characters die but was one of the messages protrayed in the movie, that war kills great men. the themes and messages in the movie were very intense and very meaningful. the entire movie they kept coming back to the german soldier and the medic

this isn't what you'd expect from a normal war film as it's quite short and it isn't just about fight scenes. instead it concentrates on the soldiers themselves and their personal difficulties and thoughts on the war. this is excelent

a nice little war film about some american's and one brit behind enemy lines. it's a very human war film. there's a fair amount of action and some of the scenery is beautiful. it only has a small-ish plot but if suffices

i liked this movie i hadnt heard of it until i bought it on dvd today
but what i liked most about it was the fact that they never had an major movie stars in it
the fact that they had actors who where unknown but still did a great job in the movie
the story was very realistic and touching to what they had to go through and what they actualy acomplished
so overall i think it was a great find and an overall good movie
not one of the best war movies ive ever seen but its one of the best in telling the story of what those group of men did -

unfortunetly what they don't tell you is the fact that this isn't a movie, its an episode of Band Of Brothers, so if you've seen the series don't rent it, otherwise rent it if you've never seen the series.

A not-so-well-known movie about the Malmedy Massacre. Very good. Not as much killing as in most WW II movies, but thisone has a strong storyline that becomes more evident.

I came across this movie while I was looking for something to watch. Never heard of the title or any of the cast and crew, but I decided to give it a shot since I like World War II movies so much. I usually rate movies based on the story on how I identify with the characters. I was really engrossed in this story and at the end, I felt like I really knew the characters. I later read that this film was done for under a million dollars, which is unbelievable considering the amount of detail that was applied to the production. The story itself was so great in how it questioned the morality of war and life and death in general. My hat is off to the entire cast. If you enjoy films about war, I reccomend Saints and Soldiers. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Such a touching film,based on a true story!I think I cried throughout this film the whole time.Even though he was in a War he still stuck to his beliefs,he still tried to be a missionary in dark times,and when others might judge and test his beliefs.He truly was a righteous son of god,and hero!Very good movie!

There isn't a thing I didn't enjoy about this film. You would never know it was made for under a $million. I was so touched by this - it has got all the action and the fighting, but you really get to know the characters. Amazing.

Excellent war movie, even for such a low budget... Makes you stop and think about how you would respond in the given circumstances. Fine acting and directing... If you enjoy war films, this one is well worth the view.

One of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. Also one of the most impressive for the tiny budget. A film about five soldiers who survive the Malmedy Massacre and are thrown together into a desperate effort to keep victory out of Nazi hands.

Bought this for £4 and absolutely love it.
Dont expect Saving Private Ryan type action but be expecting an interesting account of a mission to bring back information within enemy lines. Also based on real life events -

Stinks of low budget, bad actors , less action than in a commercial for hair products and it was torture to watch through.
If this was the best movie in the "Ya-Ya movie festival", I doubt Ill ever visit that festival. -

This was a very interesting film, the cinematogrophy was brilliant, and the acting was pretty stinkin' good for such a low budget movie, as were the special effects.

This was NOT what I expected at all. The acting was fantastic, the shooting scenes are as good as any big budget war film I have seen (most of them).
The acting here, especially by Deacon's character is just phenominal. The rest of the cast do a great job backing him up. I found it weird that there was slight scenes of horror, it wasn't what I was expecitng at all.
Ryan Little's directing is just so realistic and just captures the feeling of an already over-used setting. The idea of an army behind enemy lines has been used a lot but it was used he brilliantly.
Overall a great war film, full of suprisingly great performances. It doesn't have a re-watchability factor but I thought it was great for a low budget film. -

Not meant to beat Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan as a warmovie but to be a wardrama or something. It really gets you something to think about.

Im going to go as far as to say that this is my new favorite war film. A totally different take on the war from Saving Private Ryan and absolutly fantastic acting from the Teen Angel actor Corbin Allred. A film with such emotion and such a twisty tale that it has to be seen by all. Even if you dont like it, it WILL be an experience you don't want to miss.

September 23, 2006Dumb show. Barely a war movie. You only get to see Germans at the start of the movie and at the end. How do you make a war movie with no one to fight with and just one gun? I think they had a tight budget and couldn't afford anymore guns or german uniforms.

i cryed through the whole thing!!! this movie is so emotional just the little things like a doll in a church or a pack or cards on a table maes you realize how real and horible ww2 was and how mant peoples lives were ruined and since i (like most of the characters) am morman it made me realize just how much i have to be thankful for and how wonderful my life is

I thought it was a pretty good film. I think you would proberly only enjoy this movie if your into your war films etc. There were some good action scenes but it mainly focused on the lives of the soldiers.
