Story After his mother was fed upon by a vampire just prior to his birth, Blade received a greatly prolonged lifespan, the ability to sense supernatural creatures, and an immunity to complete vampirism. Filled with anger about the circumstances of his life, he dedicated himself to the elimination of the undead.

Oh, so far away from the character's roots, but once the films caught on, they shifted the comic version's aesthetic to match the movies. Now you'd almost swear it was a faithful adaptation.
