Genre Comic. Also character on 1960s Batman TV series and in 1992 film Batman Returns (Pfeiffer). Live-action movie.

Fortunately, she assumes the qualities of a cat, which enable her to fight the evil cosmetics magnate (Stone).

Stars Other actresses who’ve played Catwoman include Eartha Kitt (considered the quintessential version), Lee Meriwether, Julie Newmar and Michelle Pfeiffer Halle Berry, Benjamin Bratt, Sharon Stone, Lambert Wilson, Frances Conroy, Alex Borstein, Michael Massee, Byron Mann
Dialogue Alternates between girly and kick-ass, depending on the heroine’s mode. Lame
Aestheti Standard superhero, with boobs. Overtly sexy with lots of black leather. Rather silly, actually.
Ambiance East Side of Gotham City,a retro version of New York. Oooh, scary big city.
Audience Same as Batman’s, though Catwoman did inspire her own comics series. Minimal. This flick bombed.
