How do I add or change an photo or picture to the wiki?

To edit the information about an existing photo

When in edit mode, click the picture and menu will appear near your mouse cursor. Select "Edit Photo...". A box will pop up titled "Edit Photo". In this box you can change the size, change the way text wraps around the photo, add a link (so when someone clicks the photo, they'll go somewhere else), and edit the descriptive information.

To remove a photo

You can remove a photo in two ways. First, while in edit mode, click on the photo and then just hit the delete key on your keyboard. If you didn't mean to do that, you can undo the deletion by keying Ctrl + Z or clicking the backwards arrow on the EasyEdit Toolbar.

The second way is to click on the photo, then click the "Edit Photo..." when the pop up menu appears. The "Edit Photo" box will appear, and you can click "Remove the Photo" link at the top of the box. Note: when you remove a photo this way, you cannot undo it. Therefore, we recommend you use delete to remove photos.

To add a photo

There are three different ways to add pictures in the wiki. First, you need to be in edit mode, and then click the "Photo" button on the EasyEdit Toolbar (it has a little mountain + trees icon next to it, and it's on the right-hand side). The "Add Photo" box will pop up.

1. If you want to add a photo from your computer:
Use the first option - "On my computer or connected hard drive." Make sure the radio button is set to this option and click "Browse...". A standard select box will pop up, and then you can browse around your computer to find the photo you want. Double click the photo you want and you'll come back to the "Add Photo" box. On the bottom line, add a description of the photo so people can find it. Click the "Add Photo" button, and the photo will upload and appear in the edit window and the "Edit Photo" box will appear. Edit the details of the photo, if you want and click "Done".

2. If you want to add a photo from Flixster or somewhere else online:
Use the second option - "On the web". Simply find the URL address of the photo you want to add and put it in this box, enter descriptive text in the text field just below the URL line. Click the "Add Photo" button, and the photo will upload and appear in the edit window and the "Edit Photo" box will appear. Edit the details of the photo, if you want and click "Done".

To add a photo from Flixster, first, find the URL address photo you want on Flixster. The easiest way to find this is to find the photo you want, right-click on it, and then select "Copy Image Location". This will copy the image URL address to your clipboard. Return to the Add Photo box and paste the URL information by clicking in the field and keying Ctrl + V or by right clicking in the field and selecting "Paste".

3. If you want to add a photo from a web image search
Open the Add Photo box and click on the link at the top that reads "Search Yahoo! Images". A search field will appear in that box. Key in the search term(s) you want and click "Search". Image results will come back. Select which you want by clicking on it. Click the "Add Photo" button, and the photo will upload and appear in the edit window and the "Edit Photo" box will appear. Edit the details of the photo, if you want and click "Done".
