Neither Sean Connery nor Harrison Ford wore pants during the Zeppelin sequence.

Approximately 2,000 rats were bred for the movie to ensure that no diseases would be passed to the actors. Mechanical rats were also used.

Sean Connery is only 12 years older than Harrison Ford.

Amanda Redman was originally asked to Elsa, but refused because of the scene with 2,000 rats.
