Plot:
During the Japanese occupation of China in World War II (we too are a bit fuzzy on this chapter of history), journalist George Hogg (Rhys Meyers) leads 60 orphans on a 1,000-mile journey to safety through some beautiful scenery and some might ugly conditions. He’s aided en route by an Australian adventuress/love interest (Mitchell) and the aristocratic Madame Wang (Yeoh).
