One of two Kino releases seen on the same day, this one losing by comparison.

For me, this film never gets inside the characters, it feels as if we are looking at them from a distance. We are left to guess what the main character might be thinking, without any indication that she is a person with any strong character or personality, which leaves us with the impression that she is just a naive shallow woman out of her depth, which ultimately means that one does not feel involvement or care to any great extent what happens to her or the story

The film approaches the 70s in an excellent way, but it is too slow.

Good photography and small details show the vast differences between social classes back in 1976, still present today...

"Chile '76" is a gripping and haunting portrayal of a tumultuous era in Chilean history. With its powerful storytelling, evocative visuals, and outstanding performances, the film sheds light on the human spirit's resilience in the face of oppression. A compelling and thought-provoking masterpiece.

Garbage, Pinochet is a revered hero who took a stand against the marxist mind virus and not only fixed the economy in short order but also elevated it to unprecedented levels. History is written by the (((victors))), not the good guys.

Kept my attention mainly because of the lead actress. I don't have much knowledge about Chile's history, but this was a good slow burn thriller for spy fans.
