- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat movie will go see it again
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsStory line was unbelievable and had little background on Rodney King. Slow and boring.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat action pack movie on Death Row Snoop Dogg production company. The late Ray Liotta always gave wonderful acting in a movie. I enjoyed Tyrese playing a father. The whole cast were excellent.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat film, love the era that the movie is set in, the LA Riots!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI really like the movie. The father son unity and dysfunction between the two families it was great evolution.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThis wasn't what I was expecting. Mercer just out of prison is trying to turn his life around and raise his son. Meanwhile another father is a criminal and has his sons involved. Thier paths collide when they decide to rob the factory Mercer works at. All this is going on the day the verdict came down for the Rodney King verdict. This was more grounded in reality than I expected. Great performance especially Ray Liotta RIP. This does have some social commentary but they don't beat you over the head with it. They show both sides and capture the vibe of what it was like in that area during that time. There are several plot points that don't make sense and things go super over the top with this chase in the 3rd act that doesn't fit the tone of the rest of the movie. Overall this is a very solid crime thriller that's worth a watch. Please check out my podcast Mostly Low Budget Movies Reviews with Clarence for a full break down. On all streaming platforms. - Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsthe acting was great and it was a good story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI think Tyrese Gibsons performance in a dramatic role was commendable. The back drop of the riots after the verdict for the beating of Rodney King was very authentic.
