Overlong, reactionary, but enjoyable with enough of the old Capra magic to make it work.

Capra's next to last film, a tale of a widower and his young son, is not up to his level but the film is entertaining due to the star turn of Frank Sinatra, and of course the popular Oscar-winning tune "High Hopes," which he sings.
