Somewhat reflecting the visual stylings of Baz Luhrmann, this mermaid rom-com takes the idea originally portrayed by 'Splash' and throws it's own dark, but also enchanting take on it. It's almost a perfect balance of realism and fantasy, and has such a great use of imagery, colour and music... yeah now you understand why I started off by comparing this to a Baz Luhrmann film... But honestly, the film is such a work of art, and despite some of the darker themes, I still managed to maintain that warm fuzzy feeling, thanks to the films simple humor and light, romantic tone strung throughout.

As a mermaid herself is easy to fall in love with this film and forget its flawness wich it is a simple sub-plot of vilness. 7/10

I absolutely adore this movie! It's stunningly beautiful, and has a ton of heart. The band Dionysos had really gone all out for this movie's soundtrack as they did for Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart, and it works amazingly. The cast is wonderful, and there's plenty of sentimental touches and funny scenes all throughout the movie. I absolutely recommend this movie to fans of Dionysos, Jack, and general love story fans, it's a incredibly nice time!
