A Quiet Place: Day One

, 72% Audience Score- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsBoring predictable and never felt like the main characters were ever in real danger or at risk of dying. Genric being chased by monster gimic but used a previous well know franchise to sell it. You could replace the Quiet Place monsters with anything else and it would not change the story.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsHoly borehole! I’d rather be transported back to the 80’s and watch the fuzz that used to come on the screen after midnight when all the shows were done for the day.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starslupita once again proves that she’s one of cinema’s greatest gifts. her acting abilities are remarkable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAmazing entry into the quiet place serie, even though it lives on its own and can be watched as a whole. Notably, it is probably the best entry of the three as it reinvents the horror genre : it’s a perfect blend between a moving story that speaks to our core emotions as human beings and a pure sci-fi horror movie that keeps you on your toes and speaks to your taste for a good post-apo/alien invading movie. Truly excellent !
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsMaybe they should go to Domino's instead.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThis is basically a Cloverfield rehash without an annoying narrator. Characters weren't really emotionally attached, concept is good but character play into it like a typical tropy horror movie, and the ending is quite doo doo and corny.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI enjoyed the movie but will say that it lacked complexity. The movie itself relied more on the aliens being jumpscares than it did the main and lead characters trying to actually get somewhere other than pizza and meds. It was clear as they could only go 5 minutes at a time before another alien showed up and the chase was back on.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsReally enjoyed the first Quiet Place, but struggled to get into this one. To be honest, I feel like they added a cat just to make the main character more likable. I get why we're SUPPOSED to empathize with her, but I just found myself indifferent to her fate. The intensity is undermined by a lack of stakes - our protagonist is already on the verge of death and all she wants is pizza. The first two installments were much more primal and heart-pounding, but this was just... meh. Sure, it's an interesting character study but that's not the primary reason I show up for a monster movie, especially one in this franchise.
