Excellent movie, great twist at the end.

Great acting. A twist at the end that you don't see coming. Such a realistic portrayal of NYC in the early 90s.

No point in making this movie if it wasn't a true story. Harsh, boring, bad acting, bad costumes and hair, too long, and a bunch of nothing. If you're going to age characters, please do so appropriately. Do not have them looking the same over a ten to fifteen year period. I barely finished this after many breaks at home.

A love letter to Harlem. I absolutely love this movie! All the actors did a phenomenal job. Teyana truly deserves all her flowers!

A story that will open and break your heart.

A family love story that doesn't truly reveal the intensity of its meaning until the end. Great ensemble with the harsh reality of New York's sometimes brutal evolution as its backdrop.

Powerful performances throughout depicting a tough situation. The plot is uneven and drags in the middle but the finale is great.

That movie was brilliant! It caught your attention from the beginning to the end. Actually very sweet until the end. That's when the tears started flowing. All the actors were amazing! This movie definitely deserves an award for best actress and supporting actor. Tiana Taylor was exceptional. All of the actors and actress did a phenomenal performance. Amazing job! I haven't cried in a movie in years. And this one was so realistic and just a very good movie. Great movie to watch over the holidays.

Does suffer a bit from some overly glacial editing but it is a jive slice-of-life tale.
