3.5 stars: Yes. This movie was claustrophobic. But, that is what made this picture work. We are stuck inside a 'Uber type' car with a very downtrodden character whose life is in a downward spiral. This cramped environment gives us the ability to understand what drives (pun intended) this character to make such a desperate idiotic decision. I wasn't real sure what the moral of the story was. But on the other hand, that's what made it more true to life. Jim Gaffigan's performance moves him into that category of sparsely populated funny comedians who can deliver superlative dramatic performances.

Maybe I'm just a Jim Gaffigan fan, but I really liked this movie.

Intense movie that gave me anxiety the entire viewing. Jim Gaffigan in a non comedy role did well but kept expecting a Hot Pocket joke. No seriously though very well paced and tense.

The movie was well made and the soundtrack was pretty dope , the cast was cool and all but the story was just a little to cringy for my taste! I would have love to have seen the kidnapper die at the end or if the child didn't died in the nature he did ! The ending was sucked ! Jim gaffigan's character was pretty evil! But the mom was dirty as well ! I would have rated the movie like a 4 stars but the content was like find of messed up

I love Jim Gaffigan's comedy and am a huge fan. When I first saw the preview for this, I felt hesitant about seeing it. I finally had a chance to watch this and it was a nice surprise, very good. His role reminds me some of when Robin Williams played a creepy photo tech in One Hour Photo.

Only one way out. So this is about a ride app driver (Jim Gaffigan). He's down on his luck and in need of money, so he has a side hustle where he drives for a drug dealer (Robbie Jones). When he decides to make a play to potentially solve his financial woes, it is not long before he is in way over his head. Now I queued this one up solely based on a positive review that I heard. I think Gaffigan is quite talented, and I can see him being more than just a comedian. The way this was sold to me sounded reminiscent of Fargo, which you already know I am here for. This is a small movie, but it does pack a solid wallop. This is a movie for all the people out there that like their thrillers tense. Even if that's not the case, you do have to acknowledge that the film is efficient; it's only 92 minutes long so it wastes no time stacking the deck against this man. He just can't catch a break, so it makes it very easy to understand why he would be going forward on the move that he's about to attempt. The options are extremely limited, and it is not like this is a seasoned criminal or anything; you can tell as this plan is being formulated that it has a 99% chance of failure, maybe even greater. There's just no possible way that this is going to end without somebody getting hurt, and this movie scratched the itch that Breaking Bad used to satisfy for me, albeit to a much lesser extent. The story gets dark, and once he goes over the line, you know that there's no coming back for him and that he has crossed the Rubicon. I don't think that this is a perfect movie, and I do have a few complaints. For one thing, once you reach the turn (you will know it when you see it), you can pretty easily identify story elements that are going to pop back up later. I am usually not even cognizant of this, as I just want to watch a story unfold, so when I actually notice it, that means that it is not being handled subtly. Also, I think that the number of police in this doesn't match the amount of gunfire there is in the third act. I get bad neighborhoods not having fast response times, but it does reach a point where it becomes unbelievable. Still, flaws aside, I liked this stressful package of a film, and I would love to see Gaffigan keep getting non-comedic roles like this.

This movie was lame. Very slow and a dumb plot.

Gritty and dark drama that maintains a decent air of suspense throughout. Excellent performances by Jim Gaffigan and Robbie Jones.
