A very different type of dystopian movie full of character development and and take on human relationships. Plenty of action and very thought-provoking dialogue. Very good acting!

Trailer is completely misleading. Drawn out yet inconclusive character development, with many unanswered questions. Very slow with very little actual action outside of what you see in the trailer. Don't waste time or money.

The acting is great but the entire movie takes place in a house with long drawn out conversations that don’t add to the plot. Overall, disappointing.

The story takes the Fundamentalist Christian "Tribulation" story and turns it on its' head. Great performances by the cast made the suspense and urgency real. The film does a great job portraying the struggles of LGBTQIA+ and Muslims in the US but makes it their worst nightmare by adding the suspense of being hunted by white supremacists.

A well written and acted melodrama that seemingly suffers from an unfortunate name change. Originally written as "The Volunteers", American Insurrection shows the story of 5 individuals trying to escape the US for Canada as the US has been taken over by radical nationalists that are trying to preserve the "American Way" known as the Volunteers. The story line is brought to life by the actors that pour their everything into their roles. While this may not be a movie for everyone, it is worth the watch

I like this film. A slow burner and leads you into the complex lives of those who who are desperate to escape the escalating violence and oppression as described! Gritty, intense and layered this film with its Indie budget did well!
