    Touching film about second chances.

Not a great movie, too many plot holes, the film is so sentimental that I had to give it at least *3* star review!!!

A charming movie, with an emotive story and a great performance from Richard Dreyfuss. Well done to Shelagh McLeod, the director. Loved it.

A descent movie. Nothing to write rave reviews but Dreyfuss does it well and really makes it seem believable. Good job Richard!!

What an uplifting film! Exactly what we need as an antidote to 2020. A sweet but not syrupy meditation on ageing, loneliness and the importance of family, with the overarching theme of never giving up on your dreams. As an old man bent on getting a ride in a space ship, Richard Dreyfuss hasn't been this good in years. This film really pulled an incredible performance out of him, but he wasn't the only one - the acting was superb across the board, with a special shout out to Krista Bridges who gives a stunning performance as Dreyfuss's daughter, trying to keep the family together and to keep the men in her life from self-imploding. There's a scene between her and her father that had me sobbing in the cinema - so much is said, with so few words, about their love. A testament to the nuanced writing as well as the acting. Watch this one with your parents, your kids, or anyone who needs to come away from the TV or cinema feeling hopeful and inspired.

Astronaut is a cute little film about hope. Richard Dreyfuss gives a great performance in the film that deals lot with about family issues, nursing homes in achieving your dreams. It’s a predictable film and corney in a few spots and it’s a smaller film it’s worth checking out. Nothing groundbreaking here just a small easy to watch little indie film.

An honest, magical, yet incredibly moving story which is created, presented and acted in such a sensitive and touching way. You can't help but get soooo emotionally attached to these characters and the journey. Where this film will emotionally take you in only 90mins....is astonishing !! INCREDIBLE story telling and definitely accessible for all ages and people. No matter who you are or where you are ...you will find this story so warming, heartfelt and of course relatable. And that feeling is so up lifting. By the end of this film, I felt so inspired. There's nothing around quite like it !
