This movie is awesome!

Saw this as a kid. I hated every minute of it cause it's so cheap and boring. This was my first memory of lil wayne and I always hated him too after this movie. He did not have an talent in acting and it was the same in his music! Don't recommend this movie!

great acting, in depth storyline whens number 2 out?

I remember when the music video for this movie came out in 99 and it played on MTV. I was 10-years-old and I was just getting in to buying my own cd's (with mom's money of course). I remember buying Lil Wayne's lights out after this and if you are a newcomer to Ca$h Money Records or Lil Wayne, you gotta check this movie out so you can appreciate how much CMR has come up in the last decade. The movie is actually worth watching and shows the life of pre-katrina new orleans in the inner city.
