I don't really fault the cast here, I think they did a good job with the material presented. But geez, this is such a messed up premise for a comedy.

Unbelievable plot but I stayed awake. I was mostly disturbed by what the father was teaching the son and how the son was suddenly fully bought in by the end. It just didn't make sense to me but I watched it.

I thought the movie was very creative the way they took a very emotionally sabotaging situation and gave it a light hearted comedy spin. It also helped us sorta see how someone gets in that situation, obv in real life someone would have spoken up once the first pregnancy was complete and baby was at least 1 yr. I really thought the acting was good and believable and I loved the light comedy of it. I also liked the way in the beginning I couldn't stand the father and at the end I kind of felt for him. And I loved the way him and his son Philip did have a bond because of it all. In real life I don't know if a child would stay loyal through that but for the movie it was good. And in real life It is true that it can sometimes take a messed up situation to actually bring two people closer together.

Classic cheesy comedy based on a dumb premise. The cast turns in a solid performance and the script, while limited, turns in some suspense and drama for the audience's enjoyment. Worth a watch.

Can't believe this only grossed 65k at the box office, this is an awesomely entertaining movie with talented actors. Really enjoyed the entire movie with plenty of drama and comedy, yet still relevant enough to believe the story line could have been a real story.

Well definitely an interesting movie, It still wasn't the best

Hilarious movie, good message. Jim's acting in this is really great. I'd watch it again!

Kinda joyless characters, Gaffigan plays well, but his character never fully redeems himself. OK to not watch again.

I've never seen anything with this setup (having two full families) I don't know why critics hate it. Damn critics man.

Jim Gaffigan and Logan Miller lead a strong cast in this family drama about a son who discovers that his father is far more interesting than he thought. Somehow this movie was pitched as a dumb comedy, but it's not. It's a smart and nuanced movie that unfolds in a very believable way.
