- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsi've always loved the "teacher- who-wants-to make a-difference and turn around-kids life" kinda movie. the plot is somewhat the same, but the execution of it is a lil' different (dealing with homeless kids with no proper classroom condition). i really do feel that all teachers worldwide need to watch this, it is to remind themselves that what they are doing is soo noble and they shouldn't stop. keep the fire going. i admire her determination to keep on educating these bunch of homeless kids. other than that, i think this movie is great. it touches my heart and it is very inspirational. this is based on a true story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is a true story about a teacher named Stacey Bess. It's amazing to see such a dedication to her work and how the changes and her influence had done to the homeless community she served. Very inspirational! There's a lot to learn from this movie, not to mention the good performances from the cast.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBeautiful movie... I love this story, and I wish to have this kind of experience.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsBased on a true story, Beyond the Blackboard could more accurately be described as an account cum feature film. It would perhaps be unwise to criticize it for its crudeness. However, since the performances weren't too 'dramatized', if one's looking for a strong feel-good film, this might not leave much of a mark.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsExcellent.....very touching story, and a true one at that, which makes it even better.....SO worth the watch....
