I would give it 0 stars if i could. Such a bad movie. And the worse is that it doesn't have some qualities that some bad B movies do, that make them guilty pleasures to watch, where you can at least have a good laugh. This was filled with adult movie star level acting. Save your time. Or maybe if you are drunk a s have a fre buddies with you, try to watch it. Maybe you will laugh at how ridiculous everything in this movie is.

An incredible combination of Science Fiction and the story of Christ.

It's so bad… don't loose your time (like I do).

The concept is interesting... it would be an awesome movie if it weren't for the terrible script, acting, special effects and editing.

It's not the premise...or the dialog..or the racism even. It's the acting that does it for me. Really made it a brilliant piece of comedy.

Terrible acting, contrived plot/storyline, almost 2 hours of my life that I will never get back.

Black Easter (which is a recut version of Assassin 33 AD with added voice-over narration) is a "Christian" movie about a group of time traveling scientist trying to stop some (very Hispanic looking and sounding) middle eastern Muslims plot to assassinate Christ the night before he is to be crucified. Its low budget, poorly acted, racist, violent, and one of the funniest things I have seen for awhile. It is zero star movie that manages to be 3 ½ star level of entertaining in its awfulness. I would give it 4 stars but it has flashing lights (warning and time travel effects) for 2/3 of it run time (seriously people stop doing this). This was funded and shown in some churches....yikes I can only imagine the angry Fun things to watch for: English speaking Jesus Film was shot in Dallas, Texas (and looks it) making for an awkward looking Jersalem Sound effects editing that makes for weird laughs ...esp the gun toss and the dubbed kissing Zombies? That appear briefly and are not mentioned again Tomato's in ancient Jerusalem (first seen then named) When a character points out the reason why Muslims would not want to kill Christ (as he is also an important figure in there religion....and is promptly ignored) Our villain changes shirts and ties (in every scene...sometimes within the scene) People solving their problems with guns (this film had better be partial A (multiple) murder sprees right after meeting Jesus (including one by the hero) The set-up for the even more over the top...cloned anti-Christ Jesus

This film carried an ingenious concept with continual surprises on many levels. If you want to go see a fun, time-travel movie then you will enjoy this movie on that level. However, if you want to see a theological mystery, then you will be captivated by abundant, hidden clues and nuances that you won't put together until the end. (This film yielded great discussions afterwards!) The plot does have some holes (what multi-dimensional, universal-continuum story doesn't) however when I left the film I initially said "Ten plus" for my review. Even with plot holes and one shallow current character, this film still warrants 9 of 10.

Was SUPER happy about this movie. I was questioning it due to the widespread controversy but when I watched it I really enjoyed it. Unique plot and good acting.
