I do love films that are set in limited locations and Blank is a very clever film that reminds us that technology is great, until it isn't great. The performances are great especially its two leads Rachel Shelley and Heida Reed who's chess game of wits is of course the centrepiece of the film. We also are treated to the onscreen envisioning of the book that Claire is writing featuring Helen (played by Rebecca Clare Evans) and Young Claire (played by Annie Cusselle) which have that flashback feeling for the viewer) Beautifully shot and directed, if you are craving for an Ex-Machina type movie, then I do highly recommend Blank. Now I'm now going to turn off all my smart devices in case they lock me in my house!

This is a really good concept and looks like it was well-written. The execution was not so good. Leaden direction with some cringeworthy acting meant a boring viewing experience.

    Surprisingly Good Movie.

This movie is what is sometimes referred to as a slow burn, which is a show/movie that has very little story and doesn't know how to add world building or character development material. So instead it's a string of long, boring, drawn out scenes. Characters walking across the set, cars driving down a road, characters staring, and long pauses in dialogue. They are essentially trying to turn a short story into a novel by adding pages and pages of pointless filler material. A story that unfolds slowly can work, but it requires interesting characters and an intriguing premise to make up for plodding along. That is not this movie. This movie is trying to be a metaphor for the writer feeling like there's a script trapped inside their word processor. I think this movie would have been better left inside.

Not blank nor fresh enough, tastes like copy from somewhere but it's enjoyable on a diet. Writing is pretty stressful & spooky too I guess, perhaps you should lie down.

An over all enjoyable experience. I had Ex-Machina in mind throughout the entire film.

Between a hologram and an android and a writer with White Page Syndrome, we have seen everything, but heard everything, if not a lot of talk for nothing. one thing that I liked is the realization is clear and crisp, hence but 6 points.

Rachel Shelley, do I need to say more? She is just amazing and makes a brilliant lead. The whole cast were fantastic, I could not fault one performance. I read somewhere that someone did not know how the head piece works, if you watch properly its explained in a clever way in the adverts on the TV. The whole set up of the film truly is great (spoiler) how it mirror images Claire's tragic childhood. If you haven't seen it you really should. 5 stars for me.

Was not expecting the quality of this film. I got pulled into the world created straight away. All the actors were sensational, the undertones of mental health and self worth are chilling. This film really is a must watch for those of you who like films that are very much based on characters. You could compare this film to the likes of Misery but it's a world away from that.
