The first season of BLOODLINE took unnecessarily forever to develop and get off the ground, finally something happened in the last 3 episodes; when the second season became a pretentious 50s housewives soap opera, I bailed ASAP.

Not bad, and I think the ending was a pretty good one, the one I had hoped for but was at times afraid it was going to go the total opposite direction. So, that was a good kind of surprise.

So eventually Stiffler become a father / counsellor / killer psycho? A very stiff acting performance from Sean William Scott

Evan is a social worker and first-time dad who is haunted by a past of childhood abuse. He decides to take vengeance on the fathers of the students he councils at a local high school. "Bloodline" explores the traumas of a man who perpetuates in the present the violence he was subjected to in the past by his own father. A man who is willing to protect his family at all costs! The movie resembles the famous "American Psycho".

Bloodline is a must watch! Sean William Scott did an absolutely amazing job in this role. It shows his true capability to play serious roles other than the obvious of what comes to everyone's mind when they think of him, which would be "Stifler." It's one of my new favorites.

Unnecessary opening and an unjust ending for such a thoughtful opening and build.

Sure, on the surface it may feel a bit like a Dexter knockoff, but it really has its own dark identity to stand apart. It's a visceral and intense little thriller with a great, unnerving performance from Scott.

I think this movie is so boring I hate bloodline this too much disturbing and horrifying is not perfect horror
  • Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
It's not perfect, but neither is Evan. It's got all the bells and whistles of a creepy, psycho drama/thriller but it just about scratches the surface of true psychopathy. I felt like Evan was far too "together" to be a person I should be afraid of. More vigilante - less serial killer. Still, not a bad watch.

I had no idea going into this film: my favorite way to see a movie. The Horror - 4 stars: The suspense holds for 2/3rds of the run time as to what's happening. The Hook/Pace - 3 stars: Good opening but final 30 minutes drags just a bit. The Jumps 4 stars: - Half dozen or so good ones but a great opener and a very graphic child birth for a mainstream film. The Film - 3 stars: Seann William Scott fantastic as lead, good support cast, especially the high school kids. But this comes close to torture porn, and I don't like this much gore. The End - 4 stars: Some good twists and a perfect end, pulling the story together. Summary - 3.6 stars, I really liked this. Jason Blum produces, the same guy pulled into the very good "Creep."
