Such a great movie! It was awesome to see so much Latino representation and Xolo Maridueña and George Lopez stole the show. It does suffer from some of the usual super hero tropes which did make some parts predictable. Overall great movie though. This was originally meant as a direct to streaming movie on Max and I am glad they reworked it into a movie.

It was really good and i love superhero movies where there is a part where you think the hero will die and then he comes back alive

There was a TV show back in the 80s I think. It was called the greatest American hero. If you took that TV show and added in a little iron man, that's this. There are some cute parts but sadly GAH is a better show. 40 years ago.

Estereotipado, roteiro tosco com desfechos ridículos. Perda de tempo.

Totally enjoyable film for what it is. Yes, lots of cliches and moments you see coming a mile away, but I think that's fine in a superhero movie that doesn't have champagne ambitions. The only 'issue' is maybe that Bruna Marquezine (the love interest) and possibly Damián Alcázar (the father) feel like they're in an even better film that the rest of the cast didn't get the memo about. They steal almost every scene they're in. Belissa Escobedo (the sister) is also great. Besides that, everyone does a good job, and they make every character enjoyable. If you see the trailer and think you might like it - then you'll definitely like it.

I don’t understand why anyone likes this movie. It’s terrible. It had so much potential but was left in the dust by bad acting. I’d rather watch transformers.

Finally, Nickelodeon's first superhero movie is here. I'm all for representation but doing it in a bland way using the language of generic American superhero fare is always disappointing, and even worse, when it looks and feels authorless and cheap it's a wasted opportunity in a field already stacked against it. Blue Beetle has a cheap kid's TV-movie look and feel most of the time. I enjoy the social commentary, some of the horror leanings, the film's anime action and some dialogue and character moments stand out. But beyond that, it's sadly, predictably, nothing especial.
