"And so the completely pointless stretch of movie whimpers out like a small dying rat," riffs Servo, except he may as well be talking about this entire turd. "And the legend continues… to be not heard about, by anyone!" …and thankfully so.

Pure gold for any fan of the Fouke Creature a la Charles Pierce. Great 4k restoration that allows for the (otherwise overlooked) cinematography of Arkansas to shine. The ending does answer some questions so that was surprisingly touching. More than a few plot holes, but it's all in good fun so critics, calm down! Give boggy creek a chance, I say!

Not only does it fail to live up to The Legend Of Boggy Creek in every way, this movie is simply an abomination. Plot holes, bad acting, cheesy 80's music, and the fattest man ever put on film as the 'villain'.

A sequel was made to The Legend of Boggy Creek called Return To Boggy Creek. No one involved with the original had anything to do with it and so a year later the original director, Charles B Peirce, released his own sequel and mischievously called it Boggy Creek 2. This movie abandons the mockumentary style of the first one and goes for the blatant horror conventions. A university professor and two students travel to the swamps of Arkansas and camp out at Boggy Creek in hope of finding the elusive creature. Where the first movie was G rated and offered mystery, this one shows the creature up close and turns him into a vicious predator... all the while looking like a dude in a gorilla suite. The magic is definitely lost. LOL

"Bog standard" doesn't even come close to this turkey.

I just don't understand why anybody would give Charles B. Pierce money to make a movie. He must have had some really dumb friends, a lot of pull or just a winning personality. I'm leaning towards the former in this instance. Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues (AKA The Barbaric Beast of Boggy Creek, AKA The Legend of Boggy Creek II) is about as appealing as The Town That Dreaded Sundown, and if you've seen that film then you know what I mean. This man made some terrible schlock that people just seemed to get sucked into, but I'm not one of them, and in this case, hardly anyone was. The only real positive thing about it is that the Mystery Science Theater 3000 guys did a great number on it, which made at least a little more fun to watch. And that's about it really. Otherwise, I'd say just avoid it altogether.

Well since I had watched the original Legend of Boggy Creek I figured I should hunt down its soggy/boggy sequel. The only version that I was able to find was the MST3K so its sorta a cheat not to experience its awfulness head on. @ least w/ Mike & the bots it made a fucking bad movie clip along a little bit quicker & I was able to get a few more laughs out of it. As for the movie itself it did supply a few chuckles but Im positive that wasn't its intentions. I had originally seen the trailer for this when I was 11 when I went to go see Footloose & it actually seemed kinda scary. Im sure that unsuspecting film audiences & fans of the original had no idea the atrocity they were going to endure...get out the hose so you can spray off some of the shit you're sure to get on yourself

Bad, but a very, very funny MST3K episode.

This film is a riot when in the right mood. It's also a favorite from VHS rental days. Well crafted cheese + fun time waster.
