Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva
audience Reviews
, 69% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis movie is fucking HILARIOUS! not only is it really cool in it's ideas and what it wants to be, but also simultaneously fails at all of them and so much more. The dub was the only one available on Disney+, and it's the best part of the movie, you get so much funny delivery, and sometimes don't even hear what the hell they are saying cause they mumble. The action is ridiculous, and so so goofy. So much he's doing really cool tricks or does something really interesting during a sequence, and then says the cheesiest 1 liner, or the VFX just goes bananas. The story is fun, but very VERY plot convent, and forgets so much about the previously established lore-- Look point is! The movie as a movie is fucking dumb and sadly doesn't work, but in the process besides the absurd length, is the most fun I've had during a family movie this year (2023)! Along with the villain technically being named "Dave", SIGN ME THE FUCK UP FOR A SEQUEL!! XD
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsWhat a waste… spend money on story not VFX.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsOnly giving it 2 stars for its historical and/or religuous meaning, otherwise the CGI is quite bad... because frankly, with so much budget, it's expected more.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsGreat move that does well with archetypal story telling. Just relax and enjoy a good story.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsNothing to say. Just save ur time. Avoid movies like this at any cost...🙏🏻🥲
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsStory felt rushed at some points, but I surprisingly found myself at the edge of my seat with the visual effects and action scenes. The love story is typical but still heart felt. I liked it. Looking forward to part two!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFun! My first Ranbir Kapoor movie and now I'm hooked 😺
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsWhile the action and visuals might've been great, it isn't enough to overlook the uneven script, the bad dialogs, some below average performances and the non-existent chemistry between the leads
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThere is an idea, but that idea has not come to fruition. There was too much focus on the romance which distracted from the saving the world aspect. Despite other criticisms the graphics were pretty decent but did not feel natural with the actors movements.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsSo many unnecessary CGI and the fire doesn't seem real tho. pinkish & purplish fire? seriously? hero fighting scene could improve more than just throwing fire ball. After all, story plot quite interesting. Looking foward for part 2, the ending (Dev Awakening scene) is promising.
